Do you have an elderly or disabled neighbor in NYC?
Be a good neighbor and let them know about the free air conditioner program.
If they earn $3473 or less a month, NYC will cover the costs of an A/C. Rememberā¦last summer we had 95 degree weather. Look out for them
ALT New York now offers free air conditioners for the summer: hereās how to apply. The program started receiving applications on April 15. In circumstances where an air conditioner cannot be safely installed, a fan will be provided. Published April 15, 2026 at 11:19 AM.

If you were not in that theater on Thursday, you do not know what tf you are talking about. Planning a direct action ALWAYS includes risk assessment. Risk 2 protestors including impact based on marginalization. Risk 2 those disrupted because causing fear & PANIC is a sh** outcome
At the opening of #TannhƤuser at the Met and act 2 was interrupted by protestors ā unsure of what, sounded like maybe climate change. Can we please not in a crowded theatre? Very frightening when people start screaming and throwing things. Bravi to cast & crew for continuing on.

After an orange truck broke down in South Africa, a family of wild elephants strolled up and decided to help themselves to some oranges.
Elephants have the strongest sense of smell in the animal kingdom and can detect water from over 10 miles away, so it's likely they smelled these oranges and chose to make their way over.
Elephants also communicate with each other through their feet from miles away, so the elephants you see toward the end could actually be from another family who were informed of the bounty.
I think a lot about how in the US we know for a fact that gigging musicians are not in regular therapy ā state licenses mean that therapists cannot continue to counsel you when you are out of stateā¦an industry that really needs mental health support is locked out at the start
When I lost my Mom last year, I had to leave for a contract 6 weeks later and therefore had to take a 2 month break from grief counseling at a time when that was actually dangerous for meā¦but I really didnāt have a choice financially. I had to go.

Good evening, Twitter! Iām spending my Friday night in the affluent Bay Area suburb of Millbrae, where the county is presenting a plan to turn a hotel into ~100 homes for unhoused residents.
It appears that the entire city is here, and they are *pissed*. š§µ
