Ed Miliband is right to say that people who have demonstrated in support of Palestine and against genocide were right all along.
Match your words, Ed, and de-proscribe Palestine Action, now.

Every human being has equal value. Every single one.
At the United Nations General Assembly, I challenged a world that still decides whose lives deserve protection and whose suffering can be ignored.
No race is superior. No people are disposable. Until we honour that truth, "everywhere is war" remains a warning we have failed to heed.
What the world needs now is love, with the courage to confront injustice and defend our shared humanity.
Love and a little kindness. For everyone.

On September 7, 2026, Jamaica submitted a petition to His Majesty King Charles III seeking guidance on three key questions:
☑️ Was the enslavement of Africans in Jamaica under British rule lawful?
☑️ Did it violate the international legal principles of the time?
☑️ Does the United Kingdom have a legal obligation to provide reparatory remedies?
Yesterday I provided this update during a meeting of the High-Level Global Advisory Council on Reparatory Justice.
This process that we have embarked upon is about seeking truth, acknowledgement, justice, repair and reconciliation for historical injustices.
Jamaica remains committed to constructive engagement as we continue this important journey.

Lovely intervention by @traceythorne on visualising Zinc with @islandcitylab
Grateful to @islandcitylab for publishing my photo essay called Zinc City.
It's responding to themes that consider material life, climate change, and adaptation - photographs taken in Jamaica over several years.

Really important as many ppl in #Birmingham join the counter rally in Victoria Square from 11am on Sat 20th June 📢 racist Britain First not welcome in our city - see socials for @sutrbrum for details
There is something special about walking up those stairs and seeing the masterpieces in @bmag collection good curation can make that accessible. Contemporary art can have space but we must celebrate the historic building and its collection. Thanks for raising these issues
It's really important that great artworks and thoughtful curations aren't just seen as something for 'highly educated' people but ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE 🖼

'Where there were once beautifully decorated ceramics by Victorian designer William De Morgan and objects by Morris & Co is now a large photograph of… a piece of bread. Mounted poorly on a tacky piece of board, the caption says “Crusty Cob” and asks: “What is your favourite filling?”

This isn't a surprise as it was clear from the get go they wouldn't win enough seats given the size of Brum. It's targeted and financed disruption of local democracy. They don't have any policies or political experience to make any difference to the life of brummies
Not officially announced - looks like sources say they have packed up gone home for the weekend shambles #birmingham
