Completely fabulous to catch up with a former student (2007), @dr_matheson, who now has a fantastic career in psycho-oncology research. @BPOSUK #bpos2025

Fantastic keynote from Steve Bland reflecting on his experience supporting someone with cancer. A poignant reminder that better, more meaningful, support is needed for family members and carers. #bpos2025

Three @easyJet flights out of @GatwickAirportH and 3 smashed suitcases! Have you asked why your #baggagehandlers are so angry?

I'm unusually saddened by the news of a body being found in the search for Michael Mosley. A man who strived to use science to make people's lives better. Came across as a lovely, warm and kind man. Thoughts with his family, and hopefully they see how well thought of he was. R.I.P

Delighted to take part and see my patients in the latest CRUK TV adverts once more. We exist to Beat Cancer and feel very proud working with an Organization involved in half the world's cancer drugs. What we do against cancer we do for mankind! @CR_UK @SU2CUK

This is a major issue and so unregulated. Desperate people resort to desperate measures and are ripe for exploitation. Challenging area in practice and a more common issue in the social media era @IrishCancerSoc @TheHPRA
In cancer care, use of alternative medicine is associated with increased death. In this study, alternative medicine advertisements on social media exploited the hope of cancer patients by unethically sharing testimonials (anecdotes) of past patients who allegedly were cured: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/article… by @caulfieldtim @marco_zenone @jeremycsnyder @spidermaani @maizie333 @BelislePipon

Had the misfortune to end up @UHSFT emergency dept. after stupidly breaking a finger. I was so impressed by all the ED staff and the orthopaedic reg. who came to see me. Fabulous care in such a busy department. @jennyloumilner
