The UVI Falcon 27 adventures continueth with this tasty slice of granular goodness, "Particle Pride" a REGAL MARCH featuring the Particular soundset — which is positively scrumptious and made for MPE! Each finger can wiggle and swell a different note soundcloud.com/uvi-official/…

UVI Falcon 27 is out, and with it THREE gorgeously diverse expansion packs! I did a demo for all 3... this is "AI Torture Dungeon" for Savage 2, with its aggressively clownstep-adjacent snarls, off-kilter neuro wobbles 'n' generally bad attitude: soundcloud.com/uvi-official/…

This world needs more colorful/rainbow Thunderbolt cables (not just “USB compatible”) — so confusing how there’s often a tradeoff between charging speed OR data transfer, when one superset TB cable really can do it all… now we deserve to do it with style!

- Alex G "Welcome to Camp" from Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma - Keegan DeWitt "Main Titles" from Friendship BOTH sound similar as homages to Ryuichi Sakamoto "Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence" youtube.com/watch?v=w2rmtIts… youtube.com/watch?v=EMlfCFKk… youtu.be/jElCDsfptVU?t=55

Dario Marianelli’s “Elegy for Dunkirk” from Atonement (2007) and Samuel Barber’s “Adagio for Strings” (à la Platoon) share similar melodies and spirit — and harmonize nicely when keymatched. Also the war theme. Strange no one else has picked up on this in all the years since.

There’s a superior alternate universe out there where roughly 75% of synthwave is dominated by James Horner’s syncopated steel drums, swooning shakuhachi, and wildly-wailing sax from Commando.

soundcloud.com/plughugger/fo… I made this homage to William Orbit a short while before he passed away — a premonition? — and I was keenly reminded of all I'd learned from his luminous pulses and freefloating lines.

Someday I’ll look back at this window of my life and recall it was characterized by psychological discipline and watching The Great whilst cheeseburgering with my wife.

Ellie Goulding "Lights" has been on my mind since I heard it both in the Elle Fanning movie Teen Spirit and on The Masked Singer. It was also cool to hear Elle sang on a version of Orbital's "Halcyon". I'm fond of when the same element appears in unrelated media.

IF true it's CONFIRMATION the XM4s are among supremest of headphones w/punchy bass + singing highs, I suspected the XM5s/XM6s = sidegrades not replacements. I still use my XM4s for everything — composing-mixing-mastering — broken-down pads and all. 9to5google.com/2026/08/07/so…

The vastness of the UVI SonicPass is astounding... even one or a few of these themed instruments (and their playful UIs) would've blown teen me's imagination — I regularly use the electroacoustic harmonics, ethnic plucked, glitchy SFX, vintage sampler homages and soooo many more.

Heartened to see salted duck eggs at Costco. I remember when it was a “weird ethnic” food.

Also, despite how entertaining the Terminator films are, the worst thing to come out of them is an imagination-impoverished mindset that their sensationalist sci-fi is a shibboleth for the "AI doomer" scenario. (That and the Matrix.) Real life possibilities are more interesting.

Many people lie to themselves everyday, inaccurately feeling they can tell the difference between human and AI — often, they can't! It comes from a fear of losing their own humanity, when the right thing to do is to embrace curiosity, learn and use the tools to gain understanding
