we are in a tcg bullrun and the big brands are only just starting to notice trading cards have been around for over a century, so none of this is new. what's new is crypto catching on fuzzycards was one of the first tcgs in crypto, and almost 100k booster packs later i can tell you the hardest part isn't the art or the hype. it's building a game that's actually fun and actually works that last part is massively underrated. a 150 card deck can be shuffled into more combinations than there are atoms in the observable universe. you need thousands of simulated games before the balance even starts to make sense that's why projects already doing this are miles ahead. production, distribution, brand recognition, sales, development, marketing, growth: physical products take way more time than anything onchain the beauty of starting early is having the relationships and proof of product long before the market gets saturated and it will get saturated in the coming year(s). short term you'll probably see the big brands win and blow up the entire space with them. then slowly everything concentrates into the ones who figured it all out a year earlier: brands with a track record and games people actually want to play the bullrun is literally just getting started. the pokemon hype will flow into other massive ips like tolkien's middle-earth ccg from the 90s, mario, harry potter, and into onchain brands and blockchains themselves they'll all figure out the same thing: a tcg is a massive onboarding and entertainment tool to build community. better than nfts, because playing and learning together builds stronger bonds than watching a pfp go up don't get me wrong, i'm hyper bullish on nfts. but normies want something easy to understand that they can hold in their hands next comes tcg etfs, hedge funds, vcs and much more. the market is about to get a lot bigger we're early. not for long
