I keep blabbing on about tax loss harvesting. But how do you do it? There are two methods to tax loss harvest down bad tokens: >Sell the tokens and never look back >Sell and buy right back (only for US) But it’s not always simple. Here’s exactly how I tax loss harvest my portfolio: 1)identify all my worthless tokens. I just look at my holdings in my tax software and sort them by highest cost basis. Now I have my “burn list” 2)I sell tokens on any AMM with liquidity. Jumper is my favorite aggregator for this on EVM Kamino is my go to for Solana 3)I sell my NFTs onto any bids on marketplaces. Do this before the year ends when everyone else floors into the bids and liquidity dries up. 4)If there is no liquidity for NFTs I use harvest NFTs for EVM or tax dot SOL incinerator for Solana 5)I don’t do wash sales because it works for US but Australia doesn’t let me do it. But if I did? I’d just sell my tokens on the lowest fee exchange or aggregator (see 2), and immediately buy back. Now you’ve realized all your losses and have a nice tax loss to offset any gains from earlier in the year. So you either pay less tax this year. Or pay less tax later. Great consolation prize for losing trades 😭
