Flying @easyjet this afternoon in Liverpool. Must be 200 queueing for bag drop. 10 desks advertising EasyJet but only 2 staffed for normal bag drop. Poor experience so far

#OnThisDay 1941 @RoyalNavy Forces under Admiral Tovey intercepted and sank the German battleship Bismarck. Aircraft from ARK ROYAL disabled Bismarck’s steering gear allowing Toveys big guns in HMS KING GEORGE V & RODNEY and several others to finish the job of avenging HMS HOOD.

Is it as early as 1937? We had to dig this out of our archives to make what we hope is an informed guess! Love this description from The Admiralty's brochure (pub. 1942). Two thousand men were employed continuously on her construction in Birkenhead!!
