Love this. Making space tech accessible by thinking smaller—and open-sourcing the journey—is exactly how new builders get inspired. 🚀

I love building stuff, as you all probably know by now. Have been waiting for the right time to build kinda the ultimate hardware/software combo, my own satellite. While you might think it's crazy for one person to build a satellite, it's actually not that crazy, you just have to think smaller. Back in 2009 the concept of a PocketQube satellite was created, and companies like @AlbaOrbital have done a great job progressing this field. As an engineer, and a domain guy, safe to say, I'll be sharing my journey, and on a domain name that should be pretty impossible to forget: PocketQube.com. Not in any rush, taking my time, learning as I go, but sharing every little piece of hardware I buy, and every line of code I write. So if anyone else ever wants to build a satellite, they can take everything I've done, learn from it, and do the same. I do think the cost will be between $10,000 - $20,000, so not a path for everyone. But an opportunity that was $100,000+ minimum, that is now affordable for amateur soon-to-be space scientists like me. Don't expect a ton of tweets about this, but I will share updates here and there. Otherwise, as usual, I'll be tweeting about @VulcanBench and benchmarking LLMs across effort levels 🖖 Okay, beautiful day out there, time for a trail run!

Operation: Make Canada PicoSat friendly again! Orbital debris management should be about traceability & maneuverability. Not hard minimum size limits. Keep space accessible. Thanks for the PocketQube @AlbaOrbital! We like the maple-leaf red. 🍁

Alba wouldn't exist without @SpaceX, we've launched 9 times and our head on manufacturing is an ex spacexer
