Ezri Konsa is a class apart… great defender, great leader. How he and so many others in this England squad had a fabulous grounding as young players. Raised in the EFL so important mirror.co.uk/sport/football/…

I wanted to spend some time exploring the challenges facing academies of non-elite clubs. There is no better place to do that than Charlton Athletic.

What a finish! Fantastic to see the togetherness at the end and the away fans still singing 15-20 minutes after full time.
Back at The Valley on Tuesday.

Paul Elliott is back at Charlton as vice chair, still breaking down barriers at 60 & launching a new project to transform crowds in the EFL
🗣️This will modernise the club, make it fit for purpose, take it and all of English football forward

Really lovely initiative from Charlton here. All first-time visitors under 11 get a certificate to mark the experience.
It’s little things like this that create a lasting impression and make fans want to come back again.
