Fabio Wardley is still a huge success story. Turned pro with the expectation of an Area Title being an achievement. Has won English, British, Commonwealth, and World Titles. Has headlined multiple PPVs and his home stadium. Also made a truck load of money. Amazing
Odel Kamara is full of confidence ahead of his professional debut tonight, and rightly so. He is special.

Dana picked the wrong guy to mess with
The boxing journalist (@Jack_Figg) who clashed with Dana White about the Joshua vs Fury negotiations opens up about the clash:
“The bar is just extremely low when it comes to honest and pressing dialogue with Dana. He seems to get off the hook all too easily in his UFC bubble”
“The fear among the UFC press pack to ask Dana anything close to a tough question leaves the promoter too used to an easy ride.”
“Not being comfortable or able to control what was coming his way and vitally what was coming back – as he never usually gets follow ups – left Dana clearly flustered.”

It largely went under the radar that Mike Costello retired at the end of the Commonwealth Games, finishing his celebrated career covering amateur boxing and, typically enough, without wanting any of the attention he could have courted. He also spoke, in @BoxingNewsED

It is to be hoped that the popular work of @sloneart will be prominent around Tyson Fury-Anthony Joshua. Spare him a thought this week — he finds out whether his treatment against stage-four cancer has succeeded. He, with some difficult, spoke in September’s @BoxingNewsED

The making of Tyson Fury v Anthony Joshua. Legal rows, arbitration, badly timed defeats, venue changes and much more. Finally got there.

A year on since the fine boxing scribe Thomas Gerbasi passed. He was beloved, respected and appreciated more than he would have believed. I wrote this a few months ago but am remembering him today and thinking of his family.
