I’ve been driving a Chinese car all week. Haven’t charged it once, still getting 50-70mpg. Packed full of family stuff, still loads of space. £280 a month on lease, about £400 on PCP. Genuinely can’t grumble. Very well rounded thing.

This turned up (very late into the day) yesterday (actually the latest press car delivery I’ve ever had in coming up on a decade - at least it’s still surprising me. 🤣). This marks the start of basically 2 months of Chinese family cars.

From the tiny Fabia 130 to the much larger Enyaq 85 Sportline. Can’t remember the last time I was wowed by how a car drove - but this has done it. Too much rain to finish my b roll right now, will have to try again later.

Started this morning filming in picturesque beauty in the Netherlands. Two charge stops later (one for 15 minutes, the other 57 minutes) I’m back in good old Pompey. Average of 3mi/kWh with lots of weird wind today - but in summary: yes, EV road trips are easy.

I’ll also add, the driving standard in the UK is always noticeably worse when you’ve been abroad. Come on UK, even Belgian drivers are better (and they’re mental 😆).

Racking up more miles today. Explored The Hague, found free parking with MEGA cheap charging - also found insane coffee and ice cream. What a place!

EV5 in this week. Feels great quality, nice driving dynamics and prices are reasonable. Between £38-49k depending which variant you go for, but all offer the same battery and, ultimately, range. Looks greaaaaaat!
