Suella Braverman is allegedly threatening to resign. I can think of no less frightening threat, I'd be chuffed if I were Sunak. Off you pop.

*almost* bumped into @jonsopel in queue for toilets in Heathrow - would have thanked him for thoroughly enjoyable/informative @TheNewsAgents and then asked for further programs on the state of education sector after recent uni episode - we need more content on our next generation

@kevinhollinrake why would you vote for this? The Derwent & other rivers need to be protected. Very poor show.

such a beautifully written and important piece by @Sathnam 📚 “It puzzles me that while the nation has rallied over the cause of free school meals, it appears indifferent to the decline of these agencies of social mobility.”

Woken up to startling news; Jacinda Ardern resigns as NZ PM after concluding she “no longer has enough in the tank to do it justice”. I’ve only ever seen political leaders forced out or voted out, but in Ardern we find a rare exception, who again shows us how to lead differently
This is a mess. 3 days of cancelled morning trains so far this week, which means longer, unreliable bus routes (at extra cost) and wasted learning time for kids who need to get to school. @TPExpressTrains absolutely shameful.
Trains in Britain are now less reliable than those in Ukraine. Approx 20% of @TPExpressTrains cancelled again today. My @AvantiWestCoast home cancelled too. This is not a strike day (and we are not at war)

Jet-lag in Japan. Was at the point half way into a week in Asia where I’d accepted I’d never experience sleep again and expected to live out all my remaining days awake - but I just got 3hrs sleep so go me! #smallwins
