The next interface between the digital world and nature is being built now. As machines become more autonomous, they will need to understand the natural world they operate within. Not as scenery. Not as obstacles. As context. That missing layer is Nature Intelligence.

The problem with making a great meat-sauce is that by the time you are done , after an extended simmer… you already finished your dinner while tasting it. Chef privileges.

Letting go is the ultimate “hack”.
The highest form of discipline is sometimes refusing to keep thinking about something after the thinking has stopped producing value.

Patience is a virtue, but so is impatience. Be impatient to take the first step. Have patience to evaluate the change.
Start before you are ready. You will never be ready.

Unexpected turn of events… since my wife talks a lot with Claude, I find myself talking to her more to make sure she also gets my perspective.

It would be surprising if billions of years of evolution hadn’t found ways to take advantage of this enormous, predictable stream of energy arriving every day. Fascinating research.
The single biggest surprise that people who begin to understand what we currently know is that sunlight actually passes through the body (and clothes) and is absorbed along the way. The implicit realization means that sunlight touches every cell of the human body and not just the skin. This is a revolution in terms of how we think about sunlight. It is not a fantasy but now scientific proven fact: nature.com/articles/s41598-0…

There is a lot of wisdom in this for system design. Predict less. Observe more. Build what reality proves you need.

The only thing constant is change. - Heraclitus
next time you think change isn't possible, this is an actual footage of the brain rewiring itself:
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This footage shows neurons connecting in a petri dish culture, illustrating developmental wiring—not synaptic rewiring for learning or personal change. Filming neuroscientist Dr. Lila Landowski has clarified it does not depict healing from trauma or mindset shifts. youtube.com/watch?v=44fHoo… youtube.com/shorts/Rvmvt7g…

I feel pretty fortunate that I got to be part of a time when we actually had to write code to build software. I think in the not too distant future, writing code will feel a lot like writing a letter and mailing it to a friend does today. Something you do because you really, really want to.

The only way out of the Matrix is a payphone or landline (per the 1999 documentary). And they’re almost gone.
