John Wooden shares his father's timeless lesson and a poem that captures everything.
"For who can ask more of a man than giving all within his span? Giving all, it seems to me, is not so far from victory."
"It's you and I who make our fates. We open up or close the gates on the road ahead or the road behind."
You control more than you think.
Then he shared what his father always told him:
"Don't whine. Don't complain. Don't make excuses."
"Get out there and whatever you're doing, do it to the best of your ability. And no one can do more than that."
Three rules and a lifetime of wisdom.
Take ownership of your attitude, your actions, and your approach.
Then give everything you have. That's all anyone can ask.
Congrats Eli Allred.
