Thanks @EdReview!! Great to see this work out and hopefully it stimulates some discussion and reflection on this space. @MU_Education
Taking a theoretical stance rooted in assemblage theory, @tom_dela articulates how late neoliberal phasing and post-pandemic scientism converge to shape education policy - and threaten democratic principles.

My latest essay is out now in @DissidentVoice_ and analyses the developmentalist inflected discourse emerging from the Netflix show 'Adolescence', which works to distract from systemic gender-based violence and construct adolescents as 'suspect' dissidentvoice.org/2025/05/c…

Thoroughly enjoyed this review. Make sure to check out the book from @SharleneSwartz @nsingal14 and Madeleine Arnot if you’re interested in approaches from outside the mainstream Western canon.

Latest article just out lead by my colleague @sarahgillborn. It analyses the effects of the psy-complex in contemporary educational policy making.
Open access available @JEdPolicy.
Using critical psychology and network governance, we build a distinctive critique of how education policy in the UK mobilises the psy-complex to reinscribe deficit accounts of children and young people.
new paper with @tom_dela available now!

We have extended the opening of this survey as we are really struggling for participants. Please consider taking the short questionnaire (20 mins) and share with colleagues or anyone! It is critical data (pardon the pun) for our extension of this field of scholarship.

Supporting the education of children treated for cancer is under researched in Ireland and globally. Thanks to the generous funding of our partner @ChildhoodCanIre, we are starting this important research now. Over the next two years, @EquitableAccess & I will be identifying barriers to education for these children from their parents' & teachers' perspectives. Using this informatoon we will create resources and workshops for parents, reachers & medical teams here in Ireland.

Comrades do please also be aware of the past shamelessness of Bennet and his organizations in supporting racial IQists who believe in the natural inferiority of certain ethnicities and the defense of same when called out. Education can never be apolitical!
Laughable to suggest that @tombennett71 would dialogue about this when he blocks any critic of his views or @researchED1 position as a beacon for the preservation of Western coloniality. Not the first time the organization and he would be overt supporters of oppressive logics
