I haven’t been back to NYC in a decade. I will be there, travelling from New Zealand, late-December into January. American internet mutuals, I’d love to become real life mutuals. If you’re in the neighbourhood at that time, hit me up Xx Tom. Pic related

The level to which STREET FIGHTER over-invests in Andrew Schulz stock is really funny. He, on the other hand is not. It basically tanks a film that is otherwise pretty fun, if not especially good. Callina Liang innocent (and hot)

That Kazan tweet is obviously v over-dramatic but the point being glossed over is that one of the most significant writers of American socialist fiction’s work is being positioned and marketed as a HUAC collaborator’s family inheritance which feels seriously under-interrogated

Why is it that the grandchildren of this person feel entitled to tell this story, and litigate their discomfort with the evils their predecessors committed? I hate to say it, but it’s giving this:

respectfully, to even the most perceptive film critics: do you think you know more about environmentalism, modernism, irony, or art, than Neil Young?

Agreed but wait … live execution next
“Schitt’s Creek” star Dan Levy is calling out Shane Gillis' #SNL monologue. "I’m speechless that something like that can exist on live national television. And to be perfectly honest, more men need to be standing up in opposition to it because it’s complacency that has created the environment in which women are sexually assaulted and it’s a ‘conversation’ as opposed to a ‘crime.'" variety.com/2026/tv/news/dan…

I mean it's not subtext so much as just text at this point
Quilae teling Chloe she should 'work with National' is very revealing about TOP's underlying agenda.

Babe take a look at this. There came into a certain shop a famed chanteuse desirous of purchasing a mechanical Bird, yet the shopkeep, deeming her of graceless bearing and humble station, would not suffer the clockwork creature to pass into her possession

The exact moment I knew Glee was bullshit: teacher wants to show children Singin’ in the Rain. They’re angry at him for being boring. He mashes it up with Rihanna Umbrella. Framed as teachable moment. Pause. No. The children must be made to watch Singin’ in the Rain at all costs

Came across this clip of Emma D’Arcy talks about working with Cruise and the way he said “thank you” to them at the end was very sweet
