I don’t have the right words to express this. But I genuinely feel like growing up in a process heavy Christian doctrine( I’m talking doctrines like Anglican, Baptist, catholic, Pentecostal, RCG, Winners Chapel) has an effect on how easily moved you are by religion. I grew up in the era of processional hymn/recessional hymn and saying nicene creed/apostles creed, singing from Ancient & Modern Hymns And actually saying Grace and surely the way it is in the bible.

In UI, registering a student fellowship or organisation requires a staff adviser. I think other universities should consider this too. Having a member of staff who can be contacted when concerns arise is one way to improve accountability and protect students.

How can universities protect their students from this situation? A lot of the students are between the ages of 16-21. The institutions could try to put some measures in place to protect them. If they are not graduating and it’s an obsession because of a group. They should step in.
