Amy Acton's estranged mother lost custody of her children after her second husband was charged with rape and indicted by a grand jury. In court, Amy's mother stood by her husband instead of her twelve-year-old daughter. They haven't spoken since that day in court, nearly 50 years ago.
Politics has become such a disappointing sport of outrage-fueled mud-slinging, personal attacks targeting families, and blatant lies designed to divide. Candidates should debate the issues and focus on convincing voters that their plans and leadership will make life better. That's what politics should be about: bringing people together. Stunts like today's attack ad against Dr. Acton are beneath anyone seeking to lead. nytimes.com/2026/10/20/us/po…

This is so biased from a CBS reporter you'd think it was supposed to be a DM.
But it's not. It's the same reporter who carries water for Justice Alito.

It’s not every day you meet an icon. And let me tell you, Susan is just as cool in person. I spoke with her about her preparations for shouting down Trump and what she actually shouted at him to get her kicked out.💪 #NoKings lakeeffectflx.substack.com/p…

AOC at tonight's NYC fundraiser for El-Sayed, per audio I received: "If Abdul can win in Michigan, anyone can win anywhere... we are going to break the map everywhere because that is what it will take to guarantee health care to everyone in the United States."
If Schumer becomes majority leader, he must commit to holding Alito’s seat open until a new Democratic president takes office. Only right to respect the McConnell precedent after all.
Thank you, Congressman, for your nonstop fight against Christian nationalism.
First Amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion."
Hegseth: "Today, at my direction, I'm establishing the Office of Religious Affairs."
It's no accident that he used the word "establish" here. Hegseth is a full-throttle Christian nationalist who hates separation of church and state. He chips away at it all the time - through his monthly Christian church service at the Pentagon auditorium, his endless proselytizing, by removing religious minority faith codes from the Chaplaincy program, etc., etc.
The road to Gilead is paved with dystopic crap like this.

Was there to watch in person. She started the town hall with this powerful call out, even before one question was asked. And hours later… yahoo.com/news/us/articles/d…

Fighting for working people from Michigan to Florida.
46 days to elect Abdul El-Sayed and Angie Nixon to the U.S. Senate.
Since returning to office, Donald Trump has thrown his rural supporters under the bus. This November though, rural voters are poised to strike back, making Republicans pay for his betrayals. And payback’s a bitch. thinkbigpicture.substack.com…

Congress was ready to impeach Pete Hegseth TODAY.
Instead, Trump had SPINELESS SPEAKER JOHNSON cancel votes through November.
We have to be louder now than ever: FIRE PETE HEGSETH.
Brilliant 👏
Below Deck's @CaptSandyYawn has a special message for Mike Rogers:
“I hear you're in Michigan for work and you're not in Florida with your two yachts. Well, those beautiful yachts will be there when you get back, waiting for you."

Says the guy who recently claimed that this administration bringing on the "end times" would be fine with him.
