Just like in this image, Nana Patekar was intense in the roles he inhabited. Even in comedy, there was an almost menacing edge to him. He will be remembered for the sheer force of his performances and the unwavering intensity he brought to every role.
He will be missed on screen. Though, with Indian cinema having changed so much, I wonder if today’s films would have given Nana the kind of character roles in which he once excelled.
