“Genesis 3:8: And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day…”
It was an invitation. For an evening stroll.
It’s one of the saddest and equally exciting verses to me. Have you gone for a friendly stroll with God today? Or are you hiding?
I can't believe we are doing Property Tax discourse on twitter today but this is the only acceptable position.
The argument is that the government shouldn’t be able to tax people out of owning their homes. This is apparently controversial.
Replying to @esaagar
Ok but people who planned their whole lives and paid off their houses and are on fixed income shouldn’t pose their homes due to rising home values and tax increases. There’s legit arguments on both sides here
Giff is a must-follow.
My speech to my two teenage sons, when they left on a beach trip with their girlfriends’ families (close friends of ours):
You two are becoming men. A man considers and accepts the consequences of any decision he makes. That means only doing something that can conceive a child if you are willing to raise and support that child.
We are a Christian family, and here this means something serious. If you get one of your girlfriends pregnant, that child will be my grandson or granddaughter. To tear that child apart in the womb through abortion is out of the question. I and your mother would love that child, even raising him as our own if necessary. But that child deserves a mother and a father who are stable and committed to each other in the long haul. All these questions are latent in your passion in the moment.
Your girlfriend will be conflicted. She’ll be instinctively aware that sex has huge physical consequences to her, so she’ll be naturally cautious. That's why it's often the women who set boundaries for how far the men can go. But she’ll also be aware of (and attracted to) your strength, that she can’t physically resist you and must rely on your self control. So much in her will want to trust you and put herself in your hands.
And so I charge you as men, before God, if you hold her in your arms when no one else is looking: take this decision off her plate. You set the boundaries of how far is too far, and you be the one to break off touch, don’t wait for her to say “no.” Be worthy of her complete trust, be masters of your own sexual power, and you can call yourselves men.

America’s addiction to gambling & betting is an actual crisis, and not enough people are talking about it

Marry someone you’d enjoy running a small, poorly funded summer camp with. That’s most of the job.
Say it louder for those in the back.
Hey @MLB - wanna get more kids watching baseball?
Maybe start with the commercials.
Watching the playoffs tonight with my kids and here's the rundown:
- Megan Fox selling ED pills in a red bodysuit
- The scariest movie trailer you've ever seen
- Sydney Sweeney in zero clothes promoting betting on sports
Leagues can't figure out why kids don't watch.
You don't need a Nickelodeon game. You're not the Savannah Bananas.
Just show baseball in a way I can leave on in my house.
If the videos voiceover is AI, we swipe to next. If we band together on this, we can make a difference.
Am I reading this correctly? Is this the biggest 2A victory in history or am I missing something?
🚨 BREAKING 🚨
ATF Releases NFA guidance in response to the Texas NFA lawsuit:
"Effective October 9, 2026, ATF will no longer require individuals to seek ATF approval under the NFA before making or transferring short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, silencers, and “any other weapon[s]” as defined in 26 U.S.C. § 5845(e). ATF will also no longer require such items to be registered in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record. These policies apply uniformly to anyone otherwise subject to these requirements, not just to the plaintiffs in the litigation."
Idea: secondary, child-safe broadcasts. Commercial time is filled with old school Nickelodeon toy commercials. Fun fact spots. 30 second interviews with players’ kids. Trivia games.
My 7-year-old son can’t watch sports with me anymore. Not because of the games, but because of the commercials.
The horror movie trailers are the worst. The terrifying imagery can send him into a spiral of anxiety that lasts well beyond the 30-second ad. These are images his young mind simply isn’t ready to process.
We talk a lot about mental health in this country, especially in sports. Yet between the relentless gambling ads, alcohol promotions and genuinely disturbing horror trailers, I’ve reached a point where watching an MLB or NFL game with my kids requires me to monitor every commercial break.
I love sports. I work in sports. Some of my favorite childhood memories were made watching games with my family. I want that for my sons.
I wish we could exercise better judgment about what we’re putting in front of families during sporting events.
Sports should bring generations together. Instead, I’m increasingly forced to treat game day like an adults-only event.
Something feels very wrong about that.
At the beginning of summer we instituted a new punishment in our house, especially for whining or ignoring instructions - push ups. My kids aren’t listening any beater, but they are getting JACKED.
