The only alternative to ai successionism is to accelerate the capabilities of humans to match ai systems
While the flywheels of capitalism keep summoning the hyperobject, we must ride the waves of recursive self improvement. There is no reason why humans cannot be the hyperobject at the end of time. Everything that is human can make it out of the near future.
Wagner was trying to get nuclear weapons, upon failing he reached a deal with Putin in which Putin shot down his plane without him on it and he went into hiding
Upon failing the only solution that would both let him live and not let people defy Putin was to fake his death. Why else would he take a plane across Russian territory just after attempting a coup
According to this the full scale one is 127
looks like we might be IQposting soon. fyi, open psychometrics gives weird full-scale iq results, so use my calculator for (hopefully) more accurate results

The writing quality is far from great, but all I need are the hype moments
A ‘RED RISING’ movie is in the works at Paramount
• Francis Lawrence (‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’) set to direct
• The story follows a young miner living on Mars who attempts to bring down the color-coded class system

The only fascist these people ever larp as reading are hitler and evola, and only revolt against the modern world, never any of his good books like intro to magic, ride the tiger or men amongst ruins. It’s pathetic, even marxists larp as being widely read

one of the primary reasons i’m not a doomer is that human civilization is a complex adaptive system with self-correcting mechanisms. but the reason this is so hard to see from the doomer camp is because *they themselves* are precisely the mechanism by which these restoring forces emerge. as risk from AI becomes more clear, new ecological niches emerge in being anti-AGI. status markers then shift to areas like mech. interp. and then talent and capital floods in. as swarm incidents gets worse, the Invisible Hand uses legal liability to shift the gradient in the incentive landscape towards more alignment work
so to my accelerationists: the doomers are part of how we make it. they are a necessary half of the opponent processing mechanism used to steer this ship to the promised land. the doomers and the accelerationists need each other to keep checks on the other’s excess. both have important roles to play in this ant colony that is human civilization. everything is going according to plan
interpretability might be the most important scientific problem in the world right now, as I don't think we can solve alignment if we don't know what we're building. I think I have good news about it. I co-authored early work in mechanistic interpretability at OpenAI and came away pessimistic, because neural networks appeared to fold into arbitrary tangled knots. years later, I started openai's first large-scale automated interpretability project, finding about 2% of neurons legible with the primitive tools we had
with modern agentic tools and a much closer look, the picture looks totally different. the vast majority in models up to trillions of parameters are legible, and their circuits beautiful. many famous examples of tangled neurons turned out to be misunderstood. The roadblocks I expected mostly aren't there. I now think ambitious interpretability will be solved by the time we need it most, and possibly quite soon, as automated scientists keep improving. it may be a bitter lesson for interpretability: the simple thing, at absurd scale, works

It's plausible that metagaming evolved into update-aware reasoning during RL. For the model, reasoning about how it is trained and what generalization developers intended could be useful for predicting how it will be graded.
