ALT Since our opening in 1993, over 100 social service organizations have utilized our vouchers to help their clients make a fresh start. Over the past 2 years, the vouchers provided our neighbors $10,000 worth of free clothing and household goods. Help us continue this important work!

ALT Here is a testimony from Shawna Hammond and Janet Myles, volunteers at Thrifty. You can find this testimony in the body of this post.

ALT Here is a testimony from Michalene (Terry) Miller, a volunteer at Thrifty: "I started volunteering 5 years ago. Miss Shirley and her staff were caring and friendly people. They always made me feel wanted, and that my input helped and mattered to the community and the store. I always offer a smile to everyone who comes in the store, like I have seen Miss Shirley, Shawna, Cookie, Miss Talley and all the other volunteers do."

ALT "Help us celebrate thrift and our founder, Shirley Gleditsch. You can make your check payable to the Thomas Merton Center with East End Community Thrift in the notation, and mail to 1256 Franklin Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15221, or pay online at thomasmertoncenter.org. If you can donate $3, $30, or $300, every bit counts and will help us reach our goal of $30,000!"
