To those that still appreciate the art of theatre films; run to your favourite theatre (with the best possible visuals and sound) to watch Digger. Its absolutely worth it.

Create your own lane 🌟
Pompous post. I've worked with Eno, done an official piece for the Picasso family at the National Portrait Gallery , had my AV pieces exhibited at many galleries, played the Guggenhei, ICA etc etc. I've made AV Performances for Cannes and Sundance. Tracey Emin (bless her) still reads my mailouts to this day. I have a lot of friends in the "art world" i don't really want to be part of it, it's not that I can't be part of it or hate it I just like this weird video try something new every week stuff.

How can Americans not vote for this guy. Cmon he is literally holding an eagle!
I started doing hawking when I was 9 years old and there's not been any time in my life since then that I haven't had birds and haven't been involved in the sport. It's one of the great joys of my life.

How can artists utilize their time in this space better? My 0.02e (and mine only) First off, avoid these time suckers: 1. Cheap thrills. Often disguised as vibes, they add nothing to your journey. They add no value whatsoever and are solely done by the poster for engagement and everyone piles on for some laugh emojis. Hate to break it to you but your 2 word responses are def not building you relationships. 2. Shill-threads. It breaks my heart to see 400 responses to an obvious engagement farming shill thread. Find good collectors/entities that actually collect and participate in only those. 3. Bandwagons. God knows we have a new one every week. Your call, but short term distractions are exactly that, distractions. Be confident in your own journey and take steps towards your goals. Differentiate between opportunities and deviations. Now that we're past the avoid category, let's talk about what can be done: 1. Learn and educate yourself. When your time comes and you're not prepared, IT WILL BE ON YOU. Learn about smart contracts, new developments in NFTs/crypto, new mediums, new galleries/exhibits/entities...I could go on and on. You could spend a month on twitter and learn something new every hour if not every 15 mins. You just have to have that mindset. 2. Don't pigeonhole yourself in an echo chamber. Yes, you have a close circle of friends here in the space but there're so many other mindblowing artists that you've not discovered yet. Break out of the algorithm by going down rabbitholes and I promise your mind will be blown. How? Take a trip to a collector's collection that has breadth and you'd be amazed. 3. Cross pollinate. I rarely see photographers hanging out with collage artists or trad artists mingling in the AI circles. YOU ARE MISSING OUT. Explore the world around you and you will not only find inspiration but also a lot of support and relate-ability. And that's not it, once you break through now you can become the bridge between your inner circlet and your newfound circle and that's how influence grows. 4. Art discovery, not friend discovery. Your media tab is perhaps the biggest asset you have in your profile, treat it as you would your own minted collection. If you're pushing your friends just because they push yours, you should reconsider your goals. 5. Meaningful conversations. I believe 1 thoughtful response a day is much better than 10 emoji responses. It will help you forge meaningful relationships around subjects you care about. It'll also leave a more lasting impression on whoever you're having that conversation with. 6. Experiment. We're so early, know that you're not being judged for the steps you take. There are no rules so experiment with confidence. BUT, you cannot succedd by doing other people's experiments, they must be your own. Don't copy others, instead get inspired. I hope something in this post resonated with you and if this post gives you a fresh perspective, please take some time to think/rethink your goals for being in this space and reflect on whether the time you're spending here is helping you get to that goal in an efficient manner. If it's not, it is perhaps time to change something. 🫶

If there is a sustained bullrun this cycle will be no different. Trends will come and go and so will opportunities for speculators. Seems like the narrative of AI/Gamefi will the first this time.
The “culture” (pepe, memes, 0.69, 0.420, rocks, potatoes, other games) is as alien as aliens themselves to the majority in this space.

Every bear market gives one time to reflect: If you started a members only group that promised to deliver a product then rugpulled.. the market may not remember, but I will.

Caveat: There is a marked difference between a rugpull and a genuine effort to build value and network effect. But rugpullers know that already.

I am a successful commercial artist but have no experience in promoting. But, If I was in your shoes trying to sell, I would still first focus on knowing what is selling and what artists are not creating. Nfts are commercial art for the most part. Most people who buy are buying with little understanding of the history so it’s more important to focus on what people want. You can promote 24/7 but if you are not making things the market wants, sales will always be tough. Watching what sells is incredibly important. You are not trying to steal ideas or steal styles…the purpose is merely to see what ideas people want to buy and then think of how your own ideas align with the market of ideas. Promoting is best kept on your timeline. Show process videos and wip art. Share so others can learn. You are not holding secrets. Interact with similar type of artists and interact with collectors who might like your work. Have zero expectations they will ever buy. Never bullshit anyone and only connect with people you respect. Hope this helps. This would be my own strategy but I am personally still just in the building stage in art so my advice is limited to my own experience as a collector.
Replying to @Oogleyboogley6
Jeremy, could you teach us how to behave to become successful artists and what the proper ways of promoting ourselves are and what strategies are involved?
