A year ago this morning my mom, brother, and I sat with my dad and said goodbye. Life doesn't stop, and the pain doesn't go away, but it's not as sharp now I guess. tjlytle.medium.com/rememberi…
'Teaching' Claude Code how to route zip ties with the heads inset. Had it inspect a Fusion design I did in the past to gather the context needed. Process is use nurb.dev to iterate, then rebuild in @adskFusion using sketches for human editability.
Oh, and Claude is much better at documenting user params than I. By far.
So it took three tries, but Claude Code took what it built with nurb.dev and used the @adskFusion MCP to build it via human friendly sketches and operations. Next pass is to have it make fully constrained sketches. /cc @Shpigford
Turns out they are fully constrained. It's a UI bug where sketches made by the API don't get the lock icon until they're edited by a user (even if there is no change).

Speaking of fusion, once designed it'd be nice to have it in fusion with sketches and such. @Shpigford do you know if nurb.dev would play well with the fusion MCP?
I’m putting together a Bible reading plan for next year. The full schedule will be ready before January for anyone who wants to follow the larger readings right from the start.
The weekly study guides (daily readings, questions, reflections, etc.) are something I build as we go. That lets me shape them to what’s happening in our lives week by week.
This came up at dinner last night.
This is what defines a faithful pastor.
This is what sustains a lasting relationship.
This is at the heart of every legitimate ministry.
This is love.
PSA: Feel like getting more engaged here, but not sure what with how the user base here has changed. But I think I'll try to figure it out.
Saw this @Kickstarter today, and remembered something @akalsey built years ago I think. kickstarter.com/projects/sea…
From an early morning slack in our dev channel: Developer knowledge / experience / understanding is still the core contributor to productivity, LLM assistance is a multiplier not an addend.
A question that came up, "are you saying there's no value when writing the test after?" Not at all, I'm saying the value you get from _writing_ the test approaches zero (or even becomes a cost). The value of _having_ the test is completely separate.
From my talk earlier this year at @phptek. I don't think I shared it here yet. Shows two things, the value of tests, and the amount / kind of tests - both against time.
