#kabk #hacklab

Clearing my day to check the literature clock every minute - seriously, there's a new quote every minute, including this from 1920s copywriter Dorothy L. Sayers coming up at 12:53

OMG OMG OMG. Someone’s taken @tjaap’s (Jaap Meijers) original Literature Clock and made it into an app. I’ve just added it as a phone widget and couldn’t be happier.
Ik heb een nieuw favoriet nummer: Nika Ganga - Called by Another Name. open.spotify.com/track/6ffnS…
I'm wondering if I should solder pin headers to the 'wrong' side of the Raspberry Pi Pico. It would make the pin numbers face up, which would make it easier for students to connect things to it. Personally I would like to avoid counting pins all the time as well :-)
A complicating factor is that the pinout would be reversed from the schematic, so I proposed adding a 'reverse' option to @Gadgetoid's pico.pinout.xyz: github.com/Gadgetoid/pico.pi… What do you think? #raspberrypi #pico
I couldn't find an SVG for the underside of the Raspberry Pi Pico, so I made one: github.com/twisst/pico.pinou…
Thanks all, that was fun! I hope you all have a good week, especially those that have been struggling. #MakersHour
Plug: check out the Github project I put up over the weekend for the Raspberry Pi Pico. It's a fun first project to attach a speaker to it and play simple tunes! #makershour
This was a fun weekend project: porting a list of songs for buzzer speakers to #MicroPython. 41 tunes easily fit on the RPi Pico! github.com/twisst/pico-songs #MagPiMonday
Q1. Hi! I'm Jaap and I run an electronics workshop at the art academy in The Hague.
This week I was inspired by this tweet to revisit an older idea of making an automated star pointer: xitter.cf/phi48/status/152122513… (results hopefully forthcoming this summer 🙂) #MakersHour

I decided to gradually switch over at work from Arduino Uno to Raspberry Pi Pico as my go-to microcontroller. A fun first step was to port a list of songs for buzzer speakers to #Micropython. github.com/twisst/pico-songs @TheMagPi
