After a rough few weeks playing DFS on DraftKings, I've found that TEs tend to offer the best value in the $4K salary range and below. This week, I’m slotting Dallas Goedert into most of my lineups.
With Jalen Hurts on IR and both Saquon Barkley and Will Shipley out, I expect the Eagles to be playing from behind most of the game and Goedert to be Tanner McKee’s safety blanket.

Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud were drafted back to back in 2023.
After the first two seasons, this looked like a closed case. Stroud was a Pro Bowler, winning playoff games and looking like a franchise cornerstone. Bryce Young looked like he was trending toward bust territory on a struggling Panthers team.
But over the last two years, Bryce has completely turned it around, even carrying Carolina to a division title last season. Meanwhile, Stroud has continued to lead Houston to the playoffs, winning in the Wild Card round each of the last 3 seasons.
Would you still take Bryce Young with the #1 overall pick?

Lou Williams says he admitted to Doc Rivers he was too drunk to play and offered to take a suspension, but Doc made him play the entire second quarter to sweat it out because he needed him in the fourth
“I’m drunk. I don’t think I can play. I said, ‘I’m sorry, bro, but I’m drunk. So, you want to suspend me or whatever? I’mma take my lick.’”
“Doc looked at me square in my eye. He said, ‘I’m going to play your ass this whole second quarter, ’cause I need you to sweat that sh*t out, and I’m going to need you in the fourth.’”
“He played me the whole second quarter. I had 24 in the fourth.”
“But that’s the type that make you think, ‘I’m cool. I can keep going,’ because you dodged the bullet and you had success with it. Now it’s like, I’m a rock star too. I can do this.”

I now understand why KAT wants more than the $200 million the Knicks reportedly offered. His $276 million max would buy him 76 more $1 million one of one baseball cards
Karl-Anthony Towns reveals he was supposed to join his wife snorkeling on their honeymoon but found himself bidding on a nearly $1,000,000 Aaron Judge card
Sean: “Recently you made headlines outing yourself as the person who spent nearly $1 million for a rare one-of-one...”
KAT: “Aaron Judge.”
Sean: “Aaron Judge baseball card.”
KAT: “Yeah, yeah, yeah.”
Sean: “Can you pull back the curtain on what it’s like to be in a high-stakes card auction? Like, is that a nerve-wracking experience, and what was it about that card that made it a grail for you?”
KAT: “Well, the problem was I remember I was on my honeymoon, and we were in the ocean and Jordyn was snorkeling. I was supposed to get in the water, and I was just on there bidding on Fanatics.”
Sean: “Locked in.”
KAT: “I was on Fanatics Collect bidding.”

Last night's loss for the Seahawks was another reminder that they need to stick to wearing their Away White jerseys.
Sam Darnold has played 11 road games with the Seahawks and the numbers speak for themselves:
- In Away White: 8-0
- In Action Green: 0-1
- In Home Navy: 0-1
- In Retro Throwbacks: 0-1
He threw 8 interceptions in those 3 losses compared to just 5 ints in the 8 wins. Seattle still has 6 road games left this season, let's hope they go back to winning formula.

Michael Porter Jr. says he would have stayed in college for $8–10 million a year in NIL money after his back injury kept him from getting the full college basketball experience
MPJ was ranked the No. 1 high school recruit when he committed to Missouri, but his back injury limited him to just three college games. Once considered a potential top 5 pick, he fell to No. 14 in the 2018 NBA Draft and signed a 4-year rookie deal worth $15.1 million with the Denver Nuggets. He has since signed one additional contract, a 5-year max extension worth approximately $179.3 million, bringing the combined value of his two NBA deals to $194.4 million.
“If I was getting paid millions of dollars a year I would have stayed in college for sure. I'm gonna try to win a NCAA championship. I didn't get the college experience. Play in front of the college fan base and put on a show. I always kind of envy that”
“I'm looking at [Trae Young]. I'm looking at Deandre Ayton, a few other guys in my class and seeing them kill in college and I always on my basketball career think back on that and I wish I would have had that”

I’ve drafted Marvin Harrison Jr. in my fantasy league three straight years. I took last place the past two years but this trade is gonna change everything 🏈🔥
Sources: The #Cardinals and #Texans have engaged in deep negotiations for WR Marvin Harrison Jr., in exchange for significant draft capital.
However, Arizona has also informed Houston that they are still listening to potential offers from other teams with the hopes of receiving a 1st-round draft choice.
It’s my understanding that several other clubs have reached out with legitimate interest in trying to acquire Harrison, although at least one of those clubs feels MHJ is worth a Day 2 pick.
Ultimately, Harrison has been fully informed that he will be moved, but the Cardinals want to maximize value.

Over the last 7 seasons, Porzingis has averaged just 50 regular season games per year
He would need to return to the court by December 23rd and play every remaining game to reach that average again
2019: 57 games
2020: 43 games
2021: 51 games
2022: 65 games
2023: 57 games
2024: 42 games
2025: 32 games
The Warriors don’t know where Kristaps Porzingis is, what health issue he’s currently dealing with, or when he’ll return to the court, per @DannyEmerman

C.J. Stroud 🤝 Marvin Harrison Jr.
Last time they shared the field at Ohio State (2022), they connected for 1,263 yards and 14 TDs. Will be interesting to see if their college chemistry translates to NFL success like some of the other notable duos
Burrow ➡️Chase: 51 total TDs, 1,708 yds in 2024
Hurts ➡️ Smith: Back to back 1,000+ yd seasons
Tua ➡️ Waddle: Three consecutive 1,000-yd seasons

Jameis Winston recorded his first NFL tie as a starter last night.
He and Marcus Mariota went No. 1 and No. 2 in the 2015 NFL Draft. More than 11 years later, I’d still take Famous Jameis over Mariota.

Iman Shumpert says he invested in Uber early because Black people couldn’t get a cab in New York, then cashed out for a couple hundred thousand before realizing how big it would become
“When Uber first came out, I thought it was a cool idea. I like grabbing cabs and stuff. This is back when I first got drafted to New York. When you flag down a cab, Black people can't get no cab. I was like, ‘haha haha.’ You know what I mean. But this Uber thing is smart though cuz that guarantee I don't look stupid trying to get a cab and y'all just don't stop”
“It might be raining. I might got to go fast. It made sense. So I put a little money into it and the moment that little money turned over a couple of times, I took my little money out. Looking back on it, if I sat for long enough, as early as that was, I can't tell you how much I would have made off that. I might have made a contract or two off of that”
“I'm sitting here with a couple hundred thousand all happy and grand scheme of things, I never would have imagined it would have rolled over into how big it became. In my mind this was only operating in New York. I don't know why my brain left Chicago out, left LA out. I left out all the big cities, all the small cities, all the cities that people needed jobs, people need this, people need that. It taught me how to look at things”

Only 2 starting quarterbacks have won the Super Bowl while carrying the NFL’s highest QB salary cap hit since the cap began in 1994: Steve Young in 1994 and Patrick Mahomes in 2023.
Just 8 of the last 20 Super Bowl winners had a quarterback with a top 10 cap hit.
Unless you have a generational quarterback like Mahomes, Brady or Manning, why would you overpay someone just to stay mediocre, instead of being irrelevant for a few years while trying to draft the next generational talent.
There’s no guarantee you find that guy, but paying an average quarterback like an elite one makes it harder to build the team around him.
2025: Sam Darnold, 20th
2024: Jalen Hurts, 16th
2023: Patrick Mahomes, 1st
2022: Patrick Mahomes, 2nd
2021: Matthew Stafford, 9th
2020: Tom Brady, tied 5th
2019: Patrick Mahomes, 31st

“I don't really have a favorite football player besides myself. A lot of the times idols become rivals”

Adrian Peterson says he chose Oklahoma over Texas after Mack Brown told him he would redshirt behind Cedric Benson despite being the No. 1 recruit in the country
“Me being from Texas, I was a Longhorn all the way. My uncle went there, so I used to go to the games. He played with Ricky Williams, [Major] Applewhite, and Priest Holmes. I was seeing guys run the rock. So that that really had me locked in even more”
“But ultimately what it came down to it was Cedric Benson had decided to come back for his senior year. He was projected to be a top five pick his junior year. Stayed there, decided to come back to Texas. So, Mack Brown was like, ‘Hey, man, we gonna be loyal to Cedric because he’s coming back, and pretty much we’re going to redshirt’”
“I’m the number one player in the country. I got USC, they got Reggie Bush, LenDale White and Hershel Dennis. They telling me if I come in, I can compete for the spot. Every school was telling me the same thing but Texas. That really shifted my focus. So it really came down between USC and Oklahoma”
