Those people are just bloggers, for what it’s worth, treat accordingly
Wow, I can relate!
Having said that, I’m coming back to my old hobby these days - photography, bird photography to be more precise. No matter what, Argentina’s nature is great and I’m looking forward to explore those reservas ecológicas :)

Sure, a bus from around Plaza Italia or ~20min with Uber

Fair enough, you might like Núñez then - train is possible, but not needed, a bus like 15 would bring you there

I lived in Recoleta too: feels more static and kinda harder to blend in, great for a short-term staying though

Accessibility of Villa Crespo is amazing, the barrio is pretty much alive, lots of little things are happening, idk, it’s just alive (I’d say it has lots of potential if the state of things in general was different).
Núñez is definitely nice, more calm, a bit further away but still well connected, has those Belgrano vibes imo

Feel offended 😆 I do love Villa Crespo (could be greener though). Also, no Nuñez on the list?

Most likely! Comparing to the EU that “club” is way smaller here, but maybe, just maybe, if they focused more on the local issues it could have helped to unleash the Argentinian potential

That’s so insane to fight for “Feminism, Palestine, indigenous rights, trans support, public education” while in Cordoba/Argentina 🙄

You obviously nailed it here, Grosvenor family of BA kind of stuff xD I wish you wrote a book about that, especially about starting out here one day :)

Pretty insane! I can imagine it was worse in 2022-2023 though, no?

There were many opportunists probably, not sure
What I’m seeing is a LOT of completed new buildings, with lots of units being available for rent for quiet some time (only speaking for Palermo Hollywood/Villa Crespo, things might be different in Recoleta)

Idk, I think the developers are the only ones benefiting from the state of things (economy or whatsoever): demolish an old 150 sq m PH, build 5-6 floors with a couple of 1 bedroom flats per floor - profit for ages. Not just Airbnb, but also small businesses like doctors are renting that. Those kinds of buildings are popping up like mushrooms in Villa Crespo and nearby areas in Palermo Hollywood. Idk, how to feel about that, since those are mostly concrete+glass+plastic boxes and I’m not sure the locals are actually buying them (not like it’s something more affordable for an average porteño than, let’s say, 3 bedroom apartment) to live there, but it looks almost like a golden age for developers and short-term AirBnb owners

True, there are, however, some surprising exceptions too (fenómeno barrial in a way :) - there is this place Grasa, for example, less than a year old and there are sometimes 20-30m lines there! A total mystery to me as the food looks pretty mid. Some other notable or just new places in Villa Crespo: Asadero (Mezcla Group), Mambo, Unita. And most of the places, new or old, still fill up quickly, especially on late evenings

Still a mystery to me why you guys are giving him any cred

It’s getting messy tbh (it’s ok - discovery phase) - my muse is always coming down to the maximum number of open files issue, Hermes is suffering “slop PRs” apparently, long story short: we are still early
