I wrote this article for two aims - You should never forget what you dream of. I spent 10+ years finding the right timing. It is never too late to work on your dream. - I wrote this by hand. I still love writing raw; it is a way for me to express my philosophy and my emotions. I know, many times I write shit grammar, but writing is still a fun activity to me.

About a year into @gmi_cloud and the AI startup world (When Claude Opus 4.5 just came out, now it’s 5.5), I feel like I’ve been growing the speed of AI models updates lol. Jotted down a little reflection on work and life recently. ✍ My first Substack: I wanna become a nerd Hope you enjoy the read :) nicoleegong.substack.com/p/i…

My new video on ai and design is now live on @Microsoft’s official website! I believe designing intelligence means shaping humanity. In the video, I talk about: - Building @copilot into a thinking partner - Designing beyond interfaces: models, memory, evaluation... And a question I keep coming back to: as ai reshapes our world, how can we live fully, creatively, and meaningfully?

i got 9M views in the past 3 months, then X changed its algo a lot, so I read the code to keep playing the game (it's open source) Here's how X actually ranks posts (Oct 2026) - Copy-link share 20. Reply 5. Quote 5. DM share 5. Follow 4. Repost 1. Like 0.5. - Likes barely move the score. Write things people copy the link to, argue with, or send to a friend. - The first 2 hours decide everything. After 48 hours a post drops out of For You completely. Post when your audience is online, then stay in the replies. - Build mutual follows. When you reply to a mutual follow inside your own thread, that reply gets an extra +15, for 20 total, the same as a copy-link share. Reply to the people who follow you back. - Don't delete and repost to fix typos. Use edit. - Images aren't penalized, but they should carry information. Real scenes, screenshots, and proof-style images work better, and multi-photo posts keep people on the post longer. - Video: watch time currently counts for nothing. Only opening a video counts (0.07). Don't force video for the algorithm. - Ordinary links aren't penalized (anymore); only malicious links are removed. - Avoid negative feedback. Report −234, mute −58.8, "not interested" −47.5, block −31.2. Tagging strangers to ride a trend and clickbait headlines are the easiest ways to trigger them. - Replies are scored by Grok from 0 to 3, and low-scoring replies sink to the bottom of the thread. Low-effort replies don't just fail to help, they get buried.

i guess, we are walking, at the right path. understand human thinking via writing.
i love writing. i never let agents write for me. whether it's docs, or tweets, or shitposts, or even prompts (okay maybe that one's harder as agents manage other agents) there's a simple reason for that: i still strongly believe that writing is thinking. it's a skill i hope to never give up. it's also important to me that whatever i say is always authentic, mistakes and all. my favorite posts are the ones that i just full send without any editing i suspect it also helps with prompting. being able to clearly express what i want, and knowing the vocabulary i need to be able to direct my agents does seem to make for more effective usage of agents. in the same way that engineers have an advantage when we prompt agents to write code, because we are intimately familiar with the words that make up the discipline knowing the right word incantations to get an agent to produce a desired goal almost feels like spellcasting. as models get more capable, and that input box looks more and more like a magic box that can output anything, words become the interface between you and the genie there may come a time when we give up the keyboard in exchange for brain-computer interfaces. but until then, i'm writing every word.

工作的最初几年,很大程度上是在建立你对于 good engineering、good management、good product judgment 和 good execution 的内部标准。

I truly think this is the best time to double down on philosophy and refine thinking. When AI can do work that is verifiable, what creates the difference is how you see through the problem and how you think uniquely from your pov. I repeativly telling people, models are writing good codes is because codes are verifiable, think about why TDD exist and how we design products from a PRD. Thinking is based on statements and what you see, but unique to each other. Culture, humanity and the ability to write and express will be more and more vital in the next 5 years.

身处于这个区域,无时无刻被ai包围,广告四处可见,路上时不时冒出open ai/claude/present is full of slop。

And witness audit is interesting, 80% are chinese, within this 80%, 60% dont speak english, need to use google translate, and rest speaks average below. just couple thoughts SF is a place I hate a lot(purely unwalkable, plus I dont drive), but also respect a lot. You will not find a second place like it. Startups and AI drive the vibe through the city, Uber, billboards, people on the street and companies around Today, looking at all this and the news about raising. I was doubting and questioning myself. What are we building, and what does it mean to do this? I start to hesitate a bit, I think we want to understand how we, as humans, think by understanding how we express and write. But whats the end goal? Do we really want to train human-like robots, or just become more knowledgeable, or discover good untold stories? Yet I dont have an answer, all I know right now is that language, cognition, and narratives are harder than you'd think.

Here’s what dropped at Monad Open event: 1. @category_xyz revealed Monad Private Settlement. Institutions get confidential execution domains on the L1: encrypted transactions, state, and code, atomic settlement, and access to public Monad liquidity. No separate chain. Built for banks, funds, and treasuries. category.xyz/monad-private-s… 2. @valgui announced @xStocksFi is deploying natively on Monad, with 1,100+ tokenized US stocks and ETFs. They mint and settle on Monad, so DEXs, lending markets, and wallets can route equity exposure without a bridge. 3. @_jhunsaker demoed Cadence, Category Labs’ multiple-concurrent-proposers consensus. It targets 100ms blocks and ~300ms finality, and paired with BTX encrypted mempools is meant to cut MEV at the protocol level. 4. @StraitsX, Open’s title sponsor, is bringing XSGD and XUSD natively to Monad in early 2027. 5. DeltaV Demo Day ran in the builder room. Selected founders pitched products on Monad to 50+ investors. 6. Main stage put institutions next to the chain: Joe Lubin with Keone Hon on the future of the EVM, plus Visa, Tether, StraitsX, Aquanow, Sygnum, Banking Circle, zerohash, Fireblocks, and OpenReserve.
