the unfortunate reality is that many people use palestine to virtue signal, to pretend that they occupy some moral high ground, then use the cause as an excuse to do absolutely nothing. these ppl don’t give a fuck about palestine, and i wish they’d stop pretending.

Minnesotans are what Texans think they are.
Was Minneapolis a turning point?
"Minneapolis’s resistance still achieved something extraordinary: At a time when Trump seemed at his strongest and they seemed at their weakest, they stood up nobly as individuals and as a community against his designs."

Amazing: NBC just interviewed a Republican voter in Texas who voted for Democrats up and down the ballot. They asked him what would happen if Democrats win tonight: "Well, I don't think our kids are going to come home a different gender tomorrow."

Yeah sex is great but have you ever heard someone tell Steve Bannon that exit polls show that young men are evenly split between Dems and Republicans and he goes silent and then says, in a very soft voice: "that can't be right"

CBS identified Illinois based Three Z Printing as the holder of the permit associated with the fake transgender mailers. One of the owners, Matt Zerrusen, is based in Dallas. His Instagram shows pictures with Charlie Kirk and Donald Trump, and comments from local Republicans.

The lesson to be learned from this is that if the US imposes sanctions on you, you should detain as many US nationals as possible on bogus charges, then gradually release them in exchange for sanctions relief or other concessions. Rinse and repeat.

Hard to overstate how much the Amy Acton Mom ad is what the modern GOP is about. All these anxieties about how people (especially women and children) might use their agency to break bonds of filial duty and free themselves, rather than be subject to control and abuse.
We sort of satirize them as the “you can’t groom my kids, that’s MY job!” Party, but this ad is very nearly that explicit argument. They don’t want schools to empower young people to find the autonomy to come out as gay or trans, they don’t want colleges to teach young adults about the breadth of the world and the human dignity of people from diverse backgrounds, they don’t want women to have financial independence and jobs and no-fault divorce.
At the heart of the GOP is this very straightforward premise: “there are some people whom it is my right to abuse. They are my property, and they owe me total obedience; freeing themselves from my abuse is a betrayal of natural hierarchy and divine law. You are trying to take my victims away from me, and I’ll do anything to stop you.”

At some point a political party's repeated decisions to take the side of pedophiles and abusers stops being a coincidence!

"This party will give me some of what I want. The other party will give me none of what I want, destroy my country, steal my money, and condemn my pet issue to destruction, so I will help them" is logic for stupids. You are a baby-brained dummy.

Trump's TIME interview is wild. He can't stay on topic, can't stop rambling, can't stop lying about things that don't make any sense. The first question he gets is on AI safety, and he rambles about golf. He can't hear questions. Steven Cheung has to jump in to answer q's Trump can't. He tells the same stories over and over, but acts like they're new.
When he can't understand a question, his fallback is always just to talk more and blame Biden. He calls anything he doesn't like fake, touts numbers that don't exist, he says things like "Gavin Newsom can't read," and goes well over time just to ramble about the ballroom.
Near the end, he accuses the reporter of not asking him about Venezuela, then seems to forget they already talked about it, then goes back to yammering about the ballroom. He ends the interview by claiming the Secret Service wanted to tear the Oval Office down, and he stopped them. He's really not doing so well.

What the Missouri Republican Congressional delegation has done for our farmers:
1) Stood by while USAID was “fed into the wood chipper” destroying one of our largest soybean export vehicles
2) Stood by while Trump imported 300k metric tons of bad ground beef in the middle of calf sales undermining the price for the 3rd largest beef producer state
3) Stood by while Trump started a trade war with our largest export partner, Canada.
4) Refused to approve, or even provide oversight, of an idiotic war with Iran that has blown up diesel prices during harvest.
5) Happily sold off swaths of our state to multibillion dollar tech companies for AI data centers with no oversight, regulations, or guardrails torching property values.
Over and over @AnnLWagner and her Republican friends have chosen Trump and the corporations over our farmers. Enough is enough.
Missouri farmers and ranchers work every day to feed and fuel our country, and we should be doing everything we can to help keep their input costs down.
I applaud Governor Mike Kehoe for taking action to allow producers to use dyed diesel in qualifying farm-use vehicles on Missouri highways.
This commonsense flexibility, along with increased weight limits for agricultural transportation, will provide immediate relief as producers work to get crops, livestock, feed, and other agricultural products where they need to go.
Thank you, @GovMikeKehoe, for supporting Missouri Agriculture and the hardworking farm families across rural Missouri.
