Just so people understand the full extent of what’s going on right now, the United States ordered the evacuation of nonessential diplomatic personnel. The State Department issued a Level 3 advisory, due to threats of terrorism, armed conflict and missile threats. Major international airlines have suspended flights to Riyadh through mid-November. Wrestlers, production personnel, and other employees overseas risk getting stranded or worse. And WWE is sending folks headfirst into that environment because of their contract. This deserves intense scrutiny. There’s no justification.
As of now, the plan is to go ahead with Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, despite all the security alerts. (PWlnsider)

If AI is so good why are these bots in COD DMZ so dumb? Instead of using AI to make games, use AI to make video game AI better COD has zillions of hours of multiplayer data. Can’t they train their in-game AI on that?

Getting Sober in Freight: Connor Miller & Tim Dooner Get Personal | Dooner Show Ep21 The freight industry celebrates the hustle, the money and the wins. But what happens when addiction threatens to take it all away? Connor Miller and Tim Dooner get personal about their journeys through addiction and recovery, getting sober, and rebuilding their lives with new purpose. They discuss the realities of early recovery, the challenges of earning back trust, and why they’re willing to share stories that too many people in freight keep to themselves. Connor also talks about his journey from freight brokerage to founding FreightScout, and how life after addiction has changed his perspective on ambition, business and success. It’s an honest conversation about what it takes to rebuild and why sharing your story might help someone else find their way forward. Thanks Whimsy Intermodal and Load Secure

Another major Pokemon heist! This isn’t even the same one my son had just reported on “Nearly $1 million in rare trading cards, including highly valued Pokémon cards, were stolen from a FedEx truck parked near a Southern California business that authenticates and grades the collectible items, according to police.”

Case update from @FBINewHaven: Nursulton Izzatulloevich Khaydarov, a citizen of Uzbekistan, has been charged by indictment for his alleged involvement in the theft of numerous trucking cargo shipments. As alleged in court documents, a Homeland Security Task Force (@HSTaskForce) investigation revealed that Khaydarov purchased or otherwise assumed control of multiple motor carrier companies, then posed as the previous business owner to obtain contracts for interstate shipments. A driver picked up the shipment from the distribution location; however, the load did not make it to its intended destination and was subsequently reported stolen. To date, the estimated retail value of the stolen products of the cargo thefts Khaydarov was personally involved in is more than $12 million. Learn more: justice.gov/usao-ct/pr/homel…

A big part of why America is so goated is we handed it over to autists in the early days and just let them ball out.

@Hillarymhagen went on a rant today; and it's worth reading.... I sat down to write a recruiting ad and instead wrote a rant. I deleted it, rewrote it, deleted it again, and here we are. Apparently I've got something to say. STOP BLAMING DRIVERS FOR LEAVING JOBS THAT NEVER EXISTED. Trucking loves to complain about drivers jumping from company to company. Heck, I used to see it as a red flag on applications. But over the years I've realized job jumping is the SYMPTOM. Here's my hot take: TRUCKING DOESN'T HAVE A DRIVER LOYALTY PROBLEM. IT HAS A BROKEN PROMISE PROBLEM. Drivers aren't changing companies because they love orientation videos and drug tests. They're leaving because what they were sold and what they got were two different things. Then they're blamed for walking away. Companies keep peddling recruiting fairy tales, leaving drivers to figure out which promises are worth believing. At Hell Bent Xpress, I believe loyalty starts before the first load. It starts with telling the truth. NO BAIT. NO SWITCH. NO RECRUITING FAIRY TALES. Trucking isn't all sunshine and rainbows. Freight changes. Some weeks are better than others. Plans go sideways. Experienced drivers know that. We're not perfect, and we won't tell you whatever you want to hear just to get your ass in a truck. We'll tell you what you can realistically expect and let YOU decide if we're right for you. KEEPING DRIVERS SHOULDN'T START WITH BIGGER PROMISES. IT SHOULD START WITH KEEPING THE ONES YOU MAKE. And drivers? You deserve honest answers, but you've got to ask tough questions, too. Ask about the bad weeks. Ask what happens when plans fall apart. Don't let anyone sell you a dream without asking what happens when reality shows up. If you're considering Hell Bent Xpress, ask us those same questions. I'D RATHER HAVE AN EMPTY SEAT THAN FILL IT WITH A BROKEN PROMISE. Ready for a different recruiting conversation? Call me directly at 605-982-0284. End rant.
