It’s sort of weird that the only reason I look at twitter now is to check if people I follow have posted their bluesky link.
I’m going to be stopping posting here as most of the people I follow are on bluesky now and I’m sick of the hate cycle that is this site now. If you follow me and I’ve not followed you on bluesky reply here with your name and I’ll add you. Thanks. My username is the same on both.
Honestly the first half alone works.

Homemade democracy sausages are never as good. It misses the community element and you can’t get the right sausages. It’s the big thing I miss about voting in Australia.
And we’re back to disappointing public toilets in the USA. Thanks LAX for the hard reality check on my layover.
Well, that wasn’t the ideal way to end a trip… stuck half way up a mountain in the cable car changeover station for 1.5 hours because of “accident” (unspecified). Information was not supplied well except through a whisper network (which then ended in a translation network).
We were slightly disappointed with our view of the great reclining Bhudda at Nanzo-in temple in Fukuoka today. I can’t imagine why.
Sadly leaving Japan in 4 days so I just checked into my final hotel here which is in Kitikyushu. No reason why I’m sharing the hotel name… though I do feel it’s important to note that they feature “mice & party” as one of their facilities.
For those who’ve never had the joy of driving in Japan, here’s two minutes of driving to a temple in the center of Beppu with the audio replaced with tacky music to remove me arguing with the gps, randomly swearing, and the car shouting random alerts for no reason.
Hachiman Kamedo shrine was pretty amazing, especially the obviously bored but highly entertaining priest who forced j and I to have him take multiple touristy shots (which is not our style). Definitely worth a visit though for the views and obviously for the demon slayer links.
