Things that kill your LinkedIn reply rate:
- a pitch in the first message
- a message longer than 4 lines
- a profile that doesn't say who you help
- no posts on your profile
- following up 5 times with the same message
Fix these before you send more messages.
I got 0 clients in my first year in business.
Then I posted on LinkedIn for the first time and booked my first call 11 days later.
I didn't close it tho, but that's when I knew it was possible.
We are #hiring!
InLead is looking for appointment setters on base salary
You will only be talking to warm leads.
What we need from you:
- Flawless spoken english
- Speed to lead will be our priority
- Almost 24/7 availability
- Hungry

Most advisory firms get their deals from referrals and conferences
LinkedIn barely shows up in their pipeline
So I built a LinkedIn deal flow report for them
You fill in a short form about your firm and the deals you want
We build the report for your firm specifically
Same system that got a data centre deal structurer 20 qualified calls in his first 3 weeks
One of them was a $1.4T fund
Link in the reply
Advisory firms can post on LinkedIn without naming a single client
What to post:
-> the deal type and size
-> what you're looking for right now
-> one thing holding a deal up
-> who should message you
Your buyers care about the deal, the client name can stay private
I was 3 days away from starting a normal job
Spent a year trying to build a business, 0 clients
Accepted a job and was ready to quit
Then someone told me LinkedIn works for lead gen
So I posted for the first time
11 days later I booked my first call (messaged someone who engaged with my posts)
Didn't close it lol
Still turned the job down
One of our clients gets 30%+ reply rates on LinkedIn
He sells to multi-million dollar companies
His first message is 4 lines
Senior people read DMs on their phone between meetings, so short ones actually get read
PS - he books 1-2 meetings a day from it
The people who liked your posts are the easiest calls you'll book
Most people never message them
What I'd do this week:
-> open your 3 best posts from the last 90 days
-> go through everyone who liked them
-> keep the ones who could hire you
-> message each one about the post they liked
-> ask ONE question
Takes like 30 minutes
My client's first LinkedIn post got 4 likes
It booked him 7 calls
He runs a capital advisory firm
4 likes looks like a flop if likes are all you look at
The 7 people who booked were exactly who he wanted to talk to
Do yourself a favor tomorrow:
→ Open your 5 most recent LinkedIn posts
→ Click on the likes on each one
→ Go through every single person
→ Keep the qualified prospects
→ Message them about the post they liked
→ Then check your profile viewers too
→ Connect with all qualified prospects
→ Message them using our Profile viewer script
→ Book the call if they reply
Then watch your calendar explode the week after
These people already know who you are, so they reply A LOT faster than cold leads
(Meanwhile most people just leave them sitting there)
Do this tomorrow and see for yourself
PS - takes like 30 minutes, but will give you the best results
I built 50 LinkedIn agents in Claude
Built from what we run across 100+ client accounts
A few of them:
-> ICP research
-> connection request writer
-> post writer trained on your own voice
-> lead magnet builder
-> comment to DM replies
-> weekly numbers report
You paste in your info and it does the rest
Giving all 50 away
If you want it
Comment "REACH" + Follow
And I'll send it over
LinkedIn reach is down 50%+ for most people
Meanwhile we're getting the best reach weve ever had
3 changes we made on every client account:
1. Lead magnet CTA goes in the image, out of the post copy
2. Line 1 under 8 words, the number goes on line 2
3. One ask per post, ask for the connection when you reply to their comment
One client booked 8 calls (Including a $50B company) in his first week of posting with these
Want the full guide?
Comment "ALGO"
And ill send it over
2 years ago I started InLead
Before that I was in the military
Since then:
- 5,000+ meetings booked
- 100+ clients
- 40+ industries
And this month I'm moving to London to live with my best friend (at least for a while)
PS - anyone in London? Would be cool to meet some of you
$42k in 22 days
All from LinkedIn DMs
His reply rate went from 15% -> 30% when he started messaging his competitors' audience
How:
1. Connect with competitors who sell to the same buyer
2. Sales Navigator -> "Connections of" -> pick the competitor
3. Add your ICP filters on top
4. Pull their post engagers into your outreach tool
5. Like one of their posts first
6. Send a blank connection request
7. One message after they accept, two follow-ups max
These people already buy what you sell
You don't need followers to close whale clients from LinkedIn
A client booked a €19B company from his FIRST post
He'd been on LinkedIn for years and never posted once
The post was simple:
-> who he is
-> what he's working on now
-> who he wants to talk to
Most people wait until they have an audience before they start posting
Tell me again follower count matters
A $1.4T fund replied to my client
After his first 2 posts on LinkedIn
He structures data centre deals
What he posted:
-> a deal he was actually working on
-> the size of it
-> what he still needed to close it
-> who should message him
Then we messaged the people engaging while they were still warm
First 2.5 weeks:
20 qualified calls
16 from the posts, 4 from outreach
A $40M deal that came from LinkedIn is now in closing
PS - you don't have to name the client to post a live deal, the deal type and size is enough
Lost a deal a few weeks ago
He said we were twice the cost of the 8 other groups pitching him the same thing
8 groups pitching one buyer the same offer
Didn't drop anything
Now theyre getting started with another company on Friday
Fuck
A client paid another LinkedIn agency $3,000
Got 0 calls in 2 months
Generic posts, 0 likes, 0 pipeline
He was ready to quit LinkedIn
We kept the same account, same audience and same offer
What we changed:
-> 5 lead magnet and case study posts a week
-> a DM to every commenter
-> no pitch in the first message
30 days later:
0 -> 33 qualified inbound leads
$64,000 in proposals sent
a lot of trash people in the space tbh
About 70% of our meetings came from content
That's out of 5,000+ meetings across 100+ clients
The other 30% came from outreach
Most founders I talk to do the opposite
200 DMs a week and one post a month (if that)
How it works for us:
Connection request goes out
They accept
They see 3-4 of your posts in their feed
Then the message lands
By the time they read it they already know who you are
So if your reply rate is bad, check your profile before you rewrite the DM again
PS - outreach still matters, it's how the right people end up seeing the posts
