Today, management laid off 15% of our unit members, with additional layoffs in edit and business. We are heartbroken and outraged for our colleagues who lost their jobs.

Hundreds of our members have been laid off without rhyme or reason. Those who remain are reeling. One of our own started this GoFundMe. If you are inclined, feel free to share or donate. gofund.me/f0f6a0b8d
During a Q&A many of our members pushed our CEO, Editor-in-Chief, head of legal and HR, and COO on questions around the decisions behind the layoffs, concerns around diversity in our newsroom, the future of our editorial coverage, and more in depth information on our finances.
For months, we have asked management for information about company finances. Management refused time and time again. We won’t stop pushing until we get honest answers.

Our newsroom has been fighting for a contract for 3 years, but @nbcnews management is still refusing job security and equitable pay.
Let's shine a light on the #NBCUnionbusters who are standing in the way — @cesarconde_ @RBlumenstein @janelleNBC @libbyleist and @CatherineKimNY.

More than 1,000 @NYTimesGuild members just delivered a petition to A.G. Sulzberger telling him enough is enough, it’s time to do the right thing: Accept our latest economic package and drop the proposed givebacks.
We also left him a gift.

A better tomorrow starts with equitable wages for @Reuters workers. Let’s finish this contract!
We back @Reuters in wanting a better tomorrow.
We've just been waiting for that better tomorrow for two years. In that time, no general wage increases, no certainty on return-to-office plans, no improvement in benefits or leaves, no ban on NDAs in harassment cases. #ReutersNEXT

We will be picketing outside of #ReutersNEXT.
The company is generating enough cash to cover the total cost of our proposed wage increases in less than 3 days.
Its bottom line is healthy while journalists are forced to absorb higher costs for energy, food, rent and childcare.

Hundreds of local journalists across unionized @Gannett newsrooms from the east to west coast are on #GannettWalkout. Weeks after Gannett announced austerity measures like cuts to 401k & buyouts and months after Gannett laid off 3% of staff.

We're back negotiating our first contract! On the table today: holidays, scheduling and fill-in positions. Of course, our fight to get Marketplacers a living wage underscores all of this. #WeMakeMarketplace
Hey @DotDashMeredith, time to pay up
EXCLUSIVE: @DotDashMeredith Is Half Its Size. Congrats, CEO @NeilVogel, on Dropping the Extra Lbs. and Keeping Them Off!
Staffers are putting in more than 1,000 hours of unpaid labor per week because of severe understaffing, which means DDM is now saving about $2.2M a year. Wow!

Congratulations! That's a big deal!

This is the first contract that covers all TIME editorial employees—there is no longer a divide between the print and digital side of TIME magazine or TIME for Kids. No editorial worker will be at-will; all are protected by just cause.
