🌍 We've gone global with Time for Geography!
What started as a partnership between the Field Studies Council, @timeforgeog, the @sheffielduni, and the @UWEBristol to create two educational videos has grown into a collection of six videos featuring our fantastic staff.
The results have exceeded all expectations. The project has supported more than five million geographers and geoscientists worldwide, with our videos reaching 190,000 viewers this year alone.
We're particularly proud of the project's focus on careers and pathways into geography and geoscience, helping inspire the next generation at a time when these skills are increasingly important.
A huge thank you to our partners and everyone involved in making this such a success. 👏

🍃 We’re sharing our love of fieldwork each week with a different resource! This #FieldworkFriday features another of our new human geography fieldwork technique videos on @timeforgeog with @sheffielduni and @UWEBristol .
Quantitative research techniques allow us to analyse patterns and trends, see the big picture, and compare regions using numerical data and statistics.
🎥 In this video, hear from Dr Deepak Gopinath (University of the West of England) on why these techniques matter. Then, join us in Ipswich as we demonstrate a simple but powerful method for investigating the geographical impacts of urban change: Pedestrian Analysis.

Today we're speaking about Making geography a career-defining subject… before it’s too late.
In this new article by Rob Parker and Tim Parker, they highlight a growing disconnect between the rising popularity of geography in schools and the shortage of skilled professionals in geography-related industries, creating a critical talent pipeline issue.
