When they said Brexit would lead to less choice. I didn't expect it to mean that Gloucester would smell exclusively of Lynx Africa.

At this rate the Conservatives will pick D:Ream for their anthem as frankly it's an accurate depiction of their campaign so far.

Replying to @RMcElhenney
@RMcElhenney dear Rob. Hope all's well. I write for a UK magazine called Property Week. Of all the things I would like to chat about, building regs were not top of my list. But, following your recent comments on Wrexham would you be free to chat? theguardian.com/football/202…

If so, an honest discussion on the difficulties faced, what needs to change, how it affects yourselves / the club etc would be fantastic. I know you get a lot of requests. This aims to really dig into some of the issues not just get a quick headline. Thanks, Tim

Hi @easyjet, @easyJet_Press. Your press line goes to voicemail. Is anyone able to answer the media enquiry lodged yesterday over passengers stuck at Birmingham over a smelly plane. Thanks

Six. Did you contact all passengers to tell them their flight was cancelled? Also, have you contacted passengers and alerted them to compensation rules around cancelled flights.

HS2 now feels very much at the point where Kevin McCloud reappears to find the wife gone.

The quality of debate on HS2 is sadly, very poor and very tribal. However the phenomenal achievement of building a line for in excess of £50bn to save 20 minutes journey time, but to and from stations that will add more to the total journey time is amazing

Another great article by @timclark53 - asking a question that's unfortunately getting more relevant each year

Piece by me for @CNplus : #HS2 boss says they never really knew how much Euston would cost when they signed construction contracts - apparently that's how all big contracts work. constructionnews.co.uk/uncat…

Modular construction seems to have turned a corner, with major housebuilders now delving back into the space and others u-turning on decisions to mothball their own modular operations, writes @timclark53. #Construction #modular #mmc buildindigital.com/picking-u…

In nine year's I still haven't seen an accurate cost estimate for Euston. In that time I interviewed the chair of HS2 himself, FOI'd on multiple occasions and asked numerous contractors and consultants. The common answer has always been that no-one seemed to know.
To summarise today's NAO HS2 report... The decision to change the original design of Euston from a 2-stage 11 platform station to a 1-stage 10 platform was made on a wildly optimistic guesstimate of cost savings that ended up being wrong. Billions wasted for a decade of delay.

The idea that changing it from 11 platforms to 10 added a couple of billion to the bill seems a bit far fetched. The issue is there's never been a real cost estimate, just guideline figures plucked from the air.

Is the long-promised modular home revolution being held up by that age-old development problem - namely planning? I took at look at what can be done for @PropertyWeek propertyweek.com/legal/modul…

If this wasn’t a real conversation between a PM and his scientific and political advisers about a lethal pandemic, it would be funny. Sadly it is real and thoroughly depressing. Is the teaching of maths at Eton so poor? Johnson: “What is the mortality rate of Covid?” @Telegraph
