Tory leader’s most forceful attack on Reform MPs:
‘I don’t want to explain to my son when we’re watching our
brilliant England team play football that some people don’t think our black players are English
I remember back in the day when Ian Wright and John Barnes were playing..nobody was questioning whether they were English
We certainly didn’t have sitting MPs questioning whether they
were English
We must not let these people take us backwards
That is not the country we are’
What with plenty of George Fenton theme tune posts today in his memory (and in my radio news bulletins today 😉), this came up in my feed and took me back to getting up early for TVAM/Wacaday to watch this cartoon as a kid.

Today is the 117th consecutive day somewhere in the UK has recorded a temperature of 20°C or higher.
The 11th of June was the last time we didn't reach this threshold.
Fresher air comes in on Wednesday allowing temperatures to fall, and likely to stay just below 20°C.

Covered in ink with a voice and attitude that epitomised pub rock, Angry Anderson always stood up for the Aussie battler. Tonight, his family says they're devastated, announcing the death of Rose Tattoo's lead singer at 79 just weeks after cancelling a European tour.

“Baffling” is the right word, you can see it in the terrace where I sit. Some fans clapped and could see the really good stuff, others were booing in disgust at the more worrying elements on display.
I’ve learnt in the past decade of becoming a Norwich City fan it’s a wild ride!
A baffling first 8 games for #ncfc. Only West Ham and Southampton have scored more, only Preston have lost more, only Burnley have conceded as many. Some great stuff and some really worrying stuff.
Having commentated on 19 goals in a week I don't know what to make of it anymore
