For a man that claims to be a Christian, Simeon Brown appears to be an outright liar.
Chris Hipkins claims there is a hiring freeze in our hospitals. Fact check: false. There are more than 2,100 additional nurses employed at our hospitals since 2023, and more than 900 additional doctors. We are currently hiring thousands more frontline staff in our hospitals. #LeadersDebate

"You wouldn't know it if you live in the USA or consume US media...but the fight between EVs and ICEs is basically over. Internal combustion is on it's way out. First it'll look slow, then fast. Fleet turnover will lag sales. But ALL the growth globally is in EVs." -@JesseJenkins
NEW | EV Adoption is booming around the world The Hormuz crisis once again revealed the risks of an energy system reliant on fossil fuels and countries are taking notice. Growing EV fleets have saved oil importers more than $20 billion since the start of the war.

repeal section 26G of the nz public finance act
Fiscal responsibility matters. But defining it narrowly as meeting deficit and debt targets can be self-defeating. Cutting spending in a weak economy reduces growth and investment, potentially leaving debt higher relative to GDP. A better approach looks at whether fiscal policy strengthens the economy’s capacity to grow, withstand shocks and meet its obligations over time. This is the focus of our first policy brief, Fiscal Rules and Long-Term Inclusive Growth, from the Global Council on New Economics for the 21st Century, which I co-chair with Vice-President of Spain @Carlos_Cuerpo, published at the @IMFNews and @WorldBankGroup Annual Meetings in Bangkok. Links to new council website and policy brief in replies.

Zelensky is a Genius: Trump: "I'm buying oil from Putin, which will help fund the war against Ukraine." Zelensky: "Ok then I'm blowing up all the Yandex Data centers in Russia, which host the bot Traffic that Putin uses to Help Trump cause chaos in the US elections. Checkmate!"

Ukraine just hit another Yandex data center inside Russia, and Cloudflare data shows automated traffic coming from Yandex’s network has collapsed to roughly 0.4% of its recent peak. For some perspective, researchers have previously estimated that bots generated roughly 21–29% of U.S. Twitter content. With the U.S. midterms just weeks away, the timing is pretty interesting.

Yeah, I have many questions too. First of which us, how did such an appallingly bad AI image even make it this far? Maybe Kiwi Drivers need to know what side to drive on?? Or maybe how to park a bus *in* a shelter? Or maybe how overtaking lanes are only wide enough for a bike?

Again and again, public inquiries produce the same finding: authority and responsibility for critical projects and tasks have been removed from a single individual and fragmented across dozens of impersonal processes. Acute risks are managed, but chronic failure is inevitable.
