We’ve been consulting with the independent Advisory Group on Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence at the Institute for Advanced Study, and we have drawn on their advice and public recommendations to inform how we release these results.

長かったよね。KYCという致命的に間違った方向性とAMLという曖昧で不可能な目標をコスト度外視で押し付ける時代がようやく米国をはじめに終わろうとしている。まー、始めたの彼らだから感謝はしないけど。
何より米国のこの合理主義は依然として彼らの政治が多少腐ってても他の国にない理性があることを再確認する結果でもある。
データを集めてはパクられてハッカーだけが喜ぶ現行のKYCが愚の極みなことは言うまでもないけど、どれだけ多くのひとがAMLの構造的矛盾に疑いの目を向けれただろね。疑っただけでも”ビジネスマン失格”みたいなレッテル貼られる状況は国内外問わず酷かったし、クリプト民ですら疑う人は少なかった。「KYC/AMLをいっぱい無理して頑張って行政と治安維持を応援！」みたいなのが終わりに行く。プライバシー民はお疲れ様、あともうすぐ。

Hester Peirce warns existing KYC/AML frameworks create huge databases of sensitive user data, making them prime targets for hacks, phishing and even physical attacks.
