Avg. rent in the city is 2500/month, which is 30K/year. Avg. CUPE Ed worker salary is 39K/year. Remember who to be mad at if schools are closed due to a strike: blame falls squarely on the man denying early childhood educators and custodians the right to basic decent living.

Minister Lecce, stop trying to pick a fight with #ETFO and instead focus your energy on something constructive – supporting educators who make an invaluable contribution to Ontario’s high-quality public education system. They don't deserve to be torn down.

#ETFO indicated its willingness to meet in late Aug and Sept, and asked for dates to be shared asap.
Ministry staff offered dates in September ONLY.
ETFO responded promptly with availability for 5 of the dates offered and *just* received confirmation from ministry staff.

We are confused by Minister Lecce’s recent comments about @etfoeducators’ bargaining dates.
We let ministry staff know we would be available to meet before Sept, but they never offered ETFO any dates in Aug. So why is ETFO being called out?
