"FRIVail: A Data Availability Scheme based on FRI Binius"
FRIVail is something we came up, in order to actually enable 10gb blocks on @AvailProject DA.

If you're active in DeFi, your capital is never in one place.
Every time a new opportunity opens up, you need to figure out where your funds are, bridge, get gas, switch networks & wait.
Now imagine all that happening in one transaction.
This is 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 by Avail.

Avail integrates with Bitcoin’s first ZK rollup @citrea_xyz ✨
Now, Citrea app devs can:
- Onboard users & liquidity with Avail deposits from all popular blockchains
- Bring assets like ctUSD, wcBTC, USDC.e, USDT.e, WBTC.e, and more directly into apps
- Build liquid apps in minutes using the Avail Nexus SDK
Build on Citrea, with Avail 💙

I tried @Showdown_TCG and I have thoughts.
The deposit flow could be a lot smoother with Avail deposit.

We're building what apps actually need.
The ability to scale with Avail DA and expand across ecosystems with Avail Nexus.
Today we have:
- 70+ teams building with Avail DA
- 13+ chains supported via Nexus
- 25+ apps integrating Nexus
And we're just getting started.

For a while we at @AvailProject have been exploring multiple directions to scale the blob size with minimum security tradeoffs and to go beyond KZG for post quantum era. Happy to open our recent work for feedbacks and peer review.
What FRIVail offers:
- Sharded blobs at its core allowing for horizontal scaling.
- Both qost quantum, and hybrid security models.
- Extremely efficient evaluations thanks to the incredible FRI Binius scheme from @jimpo_potamus and the team at @IrreducibleHW that we extensively use, and thanks to the binary field operations the performance on M-series chips is absolutely incredible.

BTW the @AvailProject docs repo is public.
Open-source contributions are welcome (please create an issue first 😆).
Also, this repo could serve as a helpful reference for someone who wants to use Nextra's latest V4 to build out their own docs :)

The rollup centric roadmap enabled scalable blockspace. But scalable blockspace is just the first step. It has to be supplemented by native interoperability.
Scaling is interoperability and interoperability is scalability. Incomplete without the other.
The next frontier is to enable users on any chain to be able to access apps on a particular chain.
Users shouldn't have to think about bridging or changing RPCs as such.
That's we are doing with Avail Nexus.
The current working solution is to solve this with liquidity providers and solvers, which is a great start. The downside of this is that bigger chains will attract the most solvers because of unit economics.
TEE-based approaches will also come to production pretty soon. We are working on one with @Ternoa_.
But this will eventually be replaced with zk proof aggregation in a year or two once proving becomes real time or very fast.
@AvailProject Nexus is a proof verification runtime. It tracks rollup/chain intermediate and latest state roots and other metadata, essentially acting as a shared bridge.
The beauty is that Avail Nexus itself is written against a zkVM - currently @RiscZero but also a parallel implementation in @SuccinctLabs SP1. So the Nexus proof itself is a succinct zk proof that is verified on a Avail pallet on the base layer.
Nexus not only verifies zk execution proofs, but it can also verify attestation proofs and others - so we will support all kinds of proving systems.
The medium-term intent is to arrive at horizontally scalable chains with uniform trust assumptions. App infra that developers can use as simple as them using something like AWS RDS for databases.
Being able to bring liquidity and users from other chains seamlessly to the Avail ecosystem of chains is going to be one of our big focus areas this coming months.
Pumped!
