It’s incredible how many benefits skin to skin has and not just at birth. It can powerfully help an overstimulated baby organise and encourage a mother to drop into her instincts, helping with positioning and attachment. Not everything is super technical. #breastfeeding

How worrying it is when a breastfeeding group announces a ‘ban’ on babies over 12 months. What messages does it send to 2nd time parents who may also struggle & have no childcare? Those breastfeeding older children already feeling isolated but have so much to offer?

Today my daughter’s teacher tells the class that the girls can’t wear two pieces - including tankinis - to swimming class. Even at this age signals are so fucked up for girls. They must cover their ‘immoral girl nipples’ but not with something too ‘tarty’ as a two-piece.

How lovely is this picture made from pebbles!
It was shared on Facebook, I’m not sure who made it, does anyone know?

Tired of having to debrief race chat after every dance class. THIS is why representation matters. My child probably doesn’t look just like that other brown child your child knows. And the answer to why her skin is “so dark” is the same as to why your child’s skin is so light.
