The Eternal Witness has arisen from The Keepers of Light and Shadow. You stand before the cosmic recorder. The ibis-headed keeper of the divine books, does not judge so much as he witnesses with perfect clarity. Every word, every intention, every forgotten moment is already inscribed. This card appears when something that seemed lost is ready to be remembered, when truth that was buried is ready to surface, or when you are being called to become a clear, unflinching witness to your own life and the lives around you. It speaks of knowledge that endures beyond lifetimes, of the power of naming and recording, and of the quiet authority that comes from seeing things exactly as they are. Nothing is truly erased. The past is not gone; it is simply waiting to be read again. You may be asked to speak or write a truth that others would prefer remain unspoken, or to honor a memory that has been neglected. The scales are balanced not by force, but by accurate accounting. Speak and write with precision. What you name becomes real in a deeper way. Review the ledger of your own actions and choices without flinching or romanticizing. If something has been lost—an idea, a relationship, a piece of yourself—it is not beyond recovery; it simply needs to be witnessed again with clear eyes. Become the reliable recorder in a world of shifting stories. The Eternal Witness does not need to force outcomes. He only needs to see and to set it down truly.
