In 2020, Microsoft announced a moonshot commitment to become carbon negative by 2030. A key milestone on this journey was our aim to match 100% of our annual global electricity consumption with renewable energy by 2025. Today, we’ve reached that goal 🥳 msft.it/6018QVCVO

As part of our 2030 commitment to becoming carbon negative & water positive while delivering AI and other cloud services, we're innovating as we build new datacentres & reimagining the way older ones operate to create a more sustainable cloud. 📰 msft.it/61109sCSrx

Had a digital spring clean over the weekend. This box is anything that might have content I'd want to save. Been sitting there for years (even moved house twice!) The worrying thing is that a lot of formats I found are out of date and will need converting :/ – at East, England

I just went to South Korea on holiday and found a good site that helps understand the carbon impact of the trip @atmosfair (3tons!)- That helps me to fund carbon avoidance projects via @ecologi. Sign up here & we get 5 trees each planted for free ecologi.com/thommck?direct=t…

Sometimes I find great content as I trawl through Microsoft's websites but it can be hard to keep track. Someone was asking me about the network tech we use in our datacentres so I created this gist with some pointers gist.github.com/thommck/996c… Something I should do more of!

I spent 20 hours distilling Mental Models into easy-to-understand illustrations. Here're 10 of them to help you make better decisions 🧵 : 1. Pareto Principle (80/20 Rule): Simplified: the larger chunk of your results come from a small portion of what you're doing
