A group of masked men attempted to force around 20 illegal migrants across the border. The men were armed and threatened Latvian troops.
Latvia’s armed forces said the incident was particularly demonstrative and aggressive compared with many previous provocations.
Several hours later, the men managed to enter EU territory, damaged an electrical distribution box and stole surveillance cameras before returning to Belarus, Interior Minister Jānis Dombrava said.

Police photos add some pretty important context to this morning’s fatal Phnom Penh crash.
The Jeep driver appears to have tested positive for methamphetamine, while his breathalyzer registered 0.69 mg/L. That alcohol reading is roughly equivalent to a 0.14–0.15% BAC, nearly twice the legal driving limit in most of the U.S.
He allegedly hit and killed a bank security guard, then tried to flee before bystanders caught him.

Der koordinierte Widerstand gegen Trumps einseitigen Medien-Ban beginnt. Auch (noch nicht betroffene) TV-Sender wie Fox News werden ab sofort keine Pool-Reporter zum Covern von Terminen abstellen.

Das Problem ist nicht nur Merz. Es ist das Mindset in der CDU, aber auch in der SPD. Die halten an alten Modellen fest, die es nicht mehr gibt. Man kann nicht nur Wahlprogramme verkaufen, man muss den Menschen auch Hoffnung geben.
