🌍 Pitch for the Planet
1/3 of Earth’s soil is degred. With @worldvisionfr, farmers help existing trees regrow, at 10–40x less expensive than traditional planting.
🌳 And its working! In Niger, 200M trees have been regrown over an area the size of Switzerland.

The bottleneck in AI game development isn't the models anymore. It's my own creativity.
AI has allowed me to approach genres that historically required a lot of prior knowledge and experience, and it teaches me along the way. E.g. I'm building a heavily physics-based game (excavator simulator) and a music experience.
I learn in real time while pulling off work that used to take specialized teams months. The impossible is now within reach :-)
All this makes it an insane time for juniors breaking in. You can rapidly build real experience without being encumbered by the knowledge of what used to be impossible. AI is so new and changing so fast that there’s no large body of entrenched experience to overcome. The way we prompt today is already very different from a year ago.
What it takes is an open mind, curiosity, and grit!
And a lot of the seasoned veterans I’m talking to are having the time of their lives. They can finally apply their experience to pure creative direction and let the AI execute.
Wild time to be making games... and to be alive in general.

Scientists have found that trees may help detect volcanic eruptions before they happen.
Around 10% of the world’s population lives near active volcanoes. Predicting eruptions has always been difficult. Traditionally, scientists rely on seismic activity readings or place monitoring equipment on the volcano itself, which can be risky and expensive.
Now researchers have discovered that trees growing on volcanic slopes can act as natural early warning systems.
When magma starts moving underground, it releases large amounts of carbon dioxide (CO₂). This gas escapes through the soil long before lava reaches the surface. While it is hard for instruments to separate volcanic CO₂ from the carbon dioxide already in the atmosphere, trees respond directly to it.
The extra carbon dioxide acts like a fertilizer. Trees absorb it through their roots, which can cause their leaves to become greener and more vibrant. This subtle change isn’t obvious from the ground, but satellites can detect it.
NASA and Smithsonian scientists are using satellite data to monitor changes in forest “greenness” around volcanoes. By tracking these patterns, they hope to improve early eruption warnings and give communities more time to evacuate.
Researchers emphasize that this method won’t replace traditional monitoring systems, but it could significantly strengthen early warning efforts.
The discovery also highlights something fascinating: forests are not just part of the scenery, they actively respond to changes happening deep within the Earth.

Type 2: an AI agent takes an action outside the authority it was given.
