Investors keep asking us: isn’t voice AI data too niche?
One voice AI lab just committed hundreds of millions of dollars to one country’s 22 languages.
One lab. One country.
153 voice AI companies. 7,000 languages. Do the math.
Silencio is built to cover every missing language on that map.
Tried the new @Meta glasses at Interspeech Sydney. Impressive piece of tech. I spoke Argentine Spanish to them. They answered in one Spanish: Spain's.
21 countries speak Spanish. English has 160+ recorded dialects...
Silencio has every major Spanish and English dialect in the world off the shelf.
Interspeech Sydney: 4 days at the world's biggest speech AI conference, a booth between Google and Meta, sole sponsor of Indigenous Voices Day, and one conclusion from every top AI lab: the era of under-resourced languages is here to stay.
The follow-up list is long. Lets go.
No screen. No keyboard. No app. Meta just bet a mass-market device on the only interface humans never had to learn: talking.
Every input method before this was a workaround until machines could listen. The next platform isn't something you look at. It's something you talk to.
🚨LATEST: Meta unveils Muse Charm, a Tamagotchi-style AI device that puts a personal AI agent on your keychain.
The palm-sized 5G gadget lets users talk directly to Meta’s Muse AI agent without a phone, computer or glasses.
Zuckerberg calls it a “joyful little device.”
Meta plans to ship it in December, just in time for the holidays.

People are freaking out over the Grass announcement, realizing that revenue can also be offchain and still be real.
Realizing that some of what we called "DePINs" a few years ago are now actually some of the most interesting data startups out there, working with leading frontier AI labs.
Realizing that not all token founders are scammers, and that if you do the right diligence, you can actually find heavily overlooked tokens trading at ridiculous multiples to their business, while being in hypergrowth and accruing 100% of that value.
$GRASS is up 20% on this announcement, and nothing has even changed. Just people waking up, thanks to great investor communication and transparency.
This is exactly why I'm so excited about $SLC and @silencioNetwork. They literally check every single box above, except that given their low FDV, the ratio is even much better, and people are even less aware.
Who knows for how long that will still be true.
Grass DataCo Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Grass Foundation, provides data infrastructure to leading AI labs training frontier models.
We're publishing an independent attestation of its revenue through Q2 2026, conducted by Regen Financial.

As a voice AI founder with a parent with ALS, I know what those words mean when the voice is gone.
Technology gave them back. In his own voice.
At @silencioNetwork we work to make this possible in thousands of languages.
Everyone deserves to be heard.
Every two weeks, an indigenous language dies. Forever.
@silencioNetwork sponsors Indigenous Voices Day at Interspeech Sydney.
Hawaiian nearly disappeared. Māori was punished. Quechua was dismissed as a peasant language.
16 preserved so far. A recorded language cannot die.

Under 1% of the world's languages. That's what @OpenAI 's ChatGPT speaks, by its own count.
The gap is real.
We checked the 30 largest speech data providers. None matches @silencioNetwork's language diversity: 150+ today, 350 by Q1. The community is recording the rest.
Appreciate it, @sjdedic
Every voice model shipping this month, GPT-Live-1 included, needs the same input: real people talking on real phones, with consent, in languages the open web never had.
2.5M contributors have been recording exactly that, and will continue to do so.
hardly anyone cared about it for years, but this is the ChatGPT moment for voice AI.
there's a massive difference between typing at AI and actually talking to it, and end users always go for convenience first.
so it's about to be in everything, and literally every AI lab is already working on their own version.
@silencioNetwork positioned for this 1-2 years early. now they're already working with some of the biggest labs to provide them with the data they need, while everyone else is just realizing voice is the next unlock.
$SLC is an AI unicorn in the making, liquid and accessible to everyone out there. and the best part is that nobody even cares yet because they'd rather chase the next Robinhood memecoin.
that's exactly what generational opportunities are made of.
African speech dataset comparison:
@Meta: ~10 hrs/language, 9 months.
@Google: ~1,850 hrs, 27 languages, 3 yrs.
@gatesfoundation: 9,000 hrs, 18 languages, 2 yrs.
➡️ @silencioNetwork: 100,000+ hrs, 45+ languages, 8 months.

With one of the biggest, most well-known AI labs out there.
Yes, this makes them a profitable company with 7-figure revenue, at a 10M FDV, doing 75% buybacks.
That’s cool, but let me add the POV of their earliest investor, which I think matters much more:
It’s been a very long road to get here, and it took a huge amount of work and commitment from @messerer_theo, @thomasmesserer and the team, plus a big bet on specialising in niche voice data.
The last 12 months meant fronting everything. They had to source niche voice data at their own cost, pour an enormous amount of work and resources into data processing so it would meet the quality bar of the largest AI labs, and these sales pipelines take an absurdly long time to fill and convert into actual partnerships.
The bet paid off completely. They wagered on the perfect niche at the perfect time, while almost nobody else saw the opportunity.
This is one of the first big dominoes to fall, and the biggest AI labs are now becoming Silencio’s paying clients, after months of conversations, testing data and building the relationship. Everyone who sees the offering is just impressed.
My biggest learning here:
These AI labs were the ones who opened the Silencio team’s eyes, first hand, to how big the demand for what they do actually is. The demand is effectively insatiable, the market 100x bigger than anticipated.
This is just the beginning. As these relationships start to flourish, these clients will only consume more data, and more big AI labs will FOMO in and turn into Silencio clients as well.
One of the most slept-on gems out there in my opinion, purely because it’s offchain and less consumer-heavy right now.
But I wouldn’t be surprised if revenue surpasses Silencio’s FDV as early as late this year / early next year.
With 75% buybacks into $SLC, you do the math.
Silencio turned profitable! 🔥 🔥🔥
We just closed an incredible deal for several African languages with a frontier AI Lab 🌍
WHAT a HUGE milestone! Congrats to the whole team, community, investors and earliest supporters!
I'm incredibly proud of what we have build here. We are capturing real value together and shipping it to leading AI labs. Together we are showing that DePIN works!
It's incredibly humbling to be shaping the future of the most disruptive technology together.
After countless sleepless nights, ups and downs, we are finally here. This is a massive PMF for our Voice Data.
We are entering escape velocity. We will do a deep dive into numbers in our next quarterly update.
Until then, we remain laser focused! 🙌
We are so early! LFG
There are moments in a company's history that define everything that comes after. Today is one of them for Silencio. We just signed the largest deal in our history with one of the top AI labs in the world. Built by our team, earned by our community. Watch what comes next.
Silencio is coming to Interspeech 2026. Sydney, Sept 27 to Oct 1. We are sponsoring Indigenous Voices Day on Sept 29, and our booth sits right between Google and Meta in the heart of the floor. If you build or research voice AI, come find us. #Interspeech2026

The EU AI Act went live 3 weeks ago. Scraped datasets just became liabilities. Ours became more valuable overnight. 2.5M contributors, per recording consent, provenance on chain, USDC payouts. The best AI labs in the world already buy from us. We can't name them yet. Soon.
AI speaks less than 100 languages. Humans speak 7,000.
2.5M Silencio contributors in 180+ countries are closing that gap. Per recording consent on chain, payouts in USDC + SLC
Your language is not a footnote. It is training data no lab can scrape.

Silencio has now closed one of the leading AI labs as a paying client and is on track to cross 7-figure cumulative volume this year.
According to their @Blockworks Token Transparency Framework, that's the point where they switch on the buyback and start accruing 75% of their revenue to the token.
$SLC is currently trading at an $850k market cap and $3.3M FDV.
People don't have them on their radar because at first glance it looks like just another dead DePIN company. What they miss is the incredible data pool and sourcing engine Silencio is sitting on, which makes them an absolute goldmine for even the biggest AI labs on earth.
Talking to their team regularly and very bullish here on Silencio. Only wish they could share more of what they've been cooking over the last 1-2 years.
Just another example of the incredible opportunities to be find out there in the wild, you just have to put in the work. And once again, the Blockworks TTF would have been a pretty good place to start looking.
