CONFIG: Dylan Field (aka @zoink), Founder & CEO of @Figma says: "You have to actually think." "There's a world where a lot of people are letting AI think for them... & they're tricking themselves into believing they're thinking, themselves." "Especially when the AI is sycophantic & it's telling you you're so great, & you're such a genius, but then giving you what it wants to do.. that's no longer your idea. That's no longer your intention." "Use AI as a tool to learn, a tool to understand the world better, a tool for leverage to get the non-critical stuff done faster." I caught the @1NewsNZ late headline news in the last hour. The murders in Hamilton were not only excluded, but it was more important to announce hot cross buns are appearing in supermarkets. xitter.cf/godard/status/18743423…
Hey @1NewsNZ. I understand why the lead story was the death of a police officer in Nelson. But let's discuss your comparative coverage of the death of a woman in Fairfield, Hamilton, that excluded previous press coverage earlier in the day, you could have covered. 1/

So universities will have to allow the views the government wants. But will be banned from holding views and positions the government don’t want them to? What kinda contradictory heavy handed government control policy is this?

Whenever I see research results like these here my conviction to teach people a basic gut feeling of data grows stronger. Folks think that one in five people are transgender?! That’s soooo off. People think that 40% have served in the military?! That’s one of the reasons I share so many charts and maps.
