I always try not to animate like this using height.
I get heights using onLayout(), use it to translate Y on scroll for the absolute positioned view.
Layout recalculation with scrollview is kind of expensive for me with my current skills.

I'll tell you an interesting story. Herod had just killed James the brother of John, and had Peter thrown in prison. The church was praying fervently for Peter's release. While they were still praying, an angel appeared to Peter and released him. Peter arrived at Mary's house where the disciples had gathered to pray. The househelp, Rhoda, went to check who was at the door and when she saw Peter, she went to inform the people praying for his release and they said it was a lie that it couldn't have been Peter.
This means, they were praying for his release while still not believing that he would be released. They were praying for his release, he got released and came to them and they said it couldn't have been him. My point is, just because your faith is low doesn't mean God won't step in. He will do as he pleases. Be kinder to yourselves. God understands.
His grace is sufficient for you and His power is perfected in your weakness. So boast about your weakness that His power may be made perfect in you.

Having faith in that instance doesn't still mean that the person would not die. But faith affects how you experience death or life. Life is just a series of trials.

The only advice I have for you as a Nigerian is this: wherever you see a mob gathered, just like in this video, resist the temptation to participate in the mob action. Do not hit the suspect with any weapon or dangerous object that could inflict a fatal injury or cause death.
You may think it is all fun and games, but if the suspect dies during the mob attack, you will find out why Nigerian prisons are among the worst places you could ever find yourself.
No matter how heinous or grievous the suspect's alleged offence may be, the moment you kill him, the focus is no longer on his alleged crimes but on your own potential criminal liability for murder.
