The female athletic trainer had every right to move the football player out of the damn way so she and other medical staff could tend to his injured teammate, but EVEN IF SHE DIDN’T, a grown man (an athlete, no less) swatting at a woman half his size like that is trash behavior.

I’ve been getting a lot of DM’s about this..
First and foremost. NCAA rule book says all players should be sidelined during injury.
Now let’s get something straight. Grace Dietrich isn’t some random person on the Duke sideline. She’s a certified athletic trainer with a master’s degree, doing her job and responding to an injured player.
Medical personnel should NEVER have to fight their way through anyone to provide care to a student-athlete, especially not knowing the severity of situation.
I don’t care who you are or what position you think you hold. Player safety comes FIRST.
There’s no defending that behavior in my opinion.
