Tons to do, but couldn't imagine a better team to do it with.
Just off with @AmandaLang for @BNNBloomberg to talk about how shareholders are holding companies accountable for more than just short-term profits.
A great opportunity to chat stakeholder capitalism. Check it out here: bnnbloomberg.ca/video/shareh…
Spotted! First time seeing it in the wild... many thanks @BNBuzz

Absolutely zero irony at the Carnegie library turned apple store in DC (built so “education can be available to all regardless of social status”) now selling iPhone 11 for $24.95 / mo. or $599 w/ a trade in.
#10. Is there equality of opportunity in America? 70% of kids born into bottom quintile in '50-'68 ended up in the bottom two as adults. 63% born into the top ended up in the top two. Damning data from @pewresearch #chartaday #opportunity #inequality

#9. The $100K+ student debt loads make the headlines, but 57% of borrowers owe less than $20K. The trouble is their default rates are also higher; at that amount, they often went to lower quality schools and didn't finish (1/2) #chartaday #studentdebt
The shift from public -> private R&D funding is important b/c of the difference in what they fund. Gov't funds basic research while business funds development. As good an example of a public good as there is. H/t @CRS4Congress on the breakdown. (2/2)

#8. R&D has been stable-ish as a share of GDP since the '60s, but it's more privately funded than it used to be. Great data from @NSF summarized by Economic Innovation Group. #chartaday (1/2)
